What races or AR you DON'T want added into the game?

You do realize every single Allied Race is just more of existing races, right?

Lightforged Draenei are just more Draenei.
Void Elves are just Alliance Blood Elves.
Dark Iron Dwarves are just more Dwarves.
Kul Tirans are just more humans.
Mechagnomes are just more Gnomes.
Nightborne are just Horde Night Elves.
Highmountain Tauren are just more Tauren.
Mag’har Orcs are just more Orcs.
Zandalari Trolls are just Trolls with straighter backs and thicker thighs.
And Vulpera are fluffy Goblins.

I honestly couldn’t recall all of them, cause I don’t play them with exception of a heritage armour bot. And I was too lazy to look them up. Thanks for the list, and my opinion remains unchanged.

To me, how it looks like, is that the only things they’ve put any real effort into, are vulpera and the new druid forms. Aaaand maybe the void elves’ looks too, one has to admit those new hairstyles look pretty dope. Just should have been without tentacles and for blood elves instead. :man_shrugging:
Allied races otherwise are just a poor attempt at bringing back subs.

Yeah they’re not that impressive to me, either. The only one I’ve considered legit trying out is a Zandalari, but I don’t cause if I ever do decide to play a troll, I´ll go with the OG’s cause the Tribal themes are far more interesting imo, rather than the Zandalari’s ‘big’ empire.

Lightforged
mechagnomes
naga
centuar
quilboar
the cat guys in uldum
any kind of demon
void elves
night elf worgen
mogu
murloc

I could go on and you may have noticed some of these races are playable, so I guess that shows how much sway I have over what :poop: they add

Now what I don’t want added: Any kind of elf at the moment. We have 4 in the game already. I want something more unique next.

What I want added though is a lot of other races.
What I want for the horde the top of my list would at the moment be sethrak. Gotta love those snake people.
I think they would bring a fun dynamic to the horde by having a friendly banter filled relationship with the vulpera, as the vulpera would be a bit skeptical most likely but accepting as they both fought against the faithless after all but in the end they’re still sethrak. Not to mention the storylines they could have with the zandalari and about Sethraliss.

Other on the list for the horde would be: Hozen, Ogre, Mok’nathal.

For the Alliance I would like: Jinyu, some kind of Arakkoa (they don’t tend to like orcs or ogres), broken or even lost-ones draenei.

Neutral/ either faction: Tuskarr, Saurok, and Murlocs but that’s pretty out there.

This tbh.

No reason other than the fact that seeing people still moan about them is one of the few things I enjoy about this game.

Anything and everyone, there’s enough allied races, give more love to the ones existing instead. Like more hairstyles, more faces, etc. instead of just pooping out more meaningless allied races.
(I’m not against the races added per se, but many of them could just have been customizations.)

This is purely my personal taste and not a representation of what is Good Lore, but I’d love some more animal-like races, but especially less mammals. The Sethrak spoke to my soul as soon as I saw them, and it was disheartening to see the vulpera instead. C’mon, how can your heart not tremble at that lying animation?

Other I’d include: Hozen & Jinyu, Murloc, Arakkoa, Mantid (look, I LOVE insect-people and I have feelings from questing in Dread Wastes again), Mogu, Ramkahen fellas… That’s off the top of my head, though.

I agree, it feels weird if you played as an Alliance race and basically saved the entire Nightborne people just for them to join the Horde, although I get the lore reasons why of course.

Some of them are more whack than others on that front. But I guess there’s “precedent” for each of the ARs in question (NB, LFD, MG and HMT) to join with the faction they’ve ended up with.

Mechagnomes turning on the horde is actually totally plausible. It’s very clear early on when you arrive in Mechagon that Erazmin is accepting aid to further the goals of the Resistance. It’s not about being chums (he actually points out how being friends isn’t a requirement to working together). Once the goals of the resistance are satisfied, he goes with the rather sensible decision of looking to reconnect with the rest of his kindred gnomekind- who happen to be opposed to the Horde. Too bad for the Horde I guess! I can’t imagine the Mechagnomes as a race are caught up on ideas of honour and “promises” given a significant deal of them appear to deal only in logic and objectivity.

It made sense to accept help from all parties offering it. Similarly it makes sense to in the aftermath seek shelter and pool resources with the race you share intellectual, technological and cultural history with in order to continue growing and evolving. Certainly more sensible than just eeking out an existence in Mechagon scrapyards because they don’t want the Horde to feel bad (especially when it’s likely that the Horde would be less inclined to continue to support/interact with them post Operation Mechagon, so you’d be shirking your own people to essentially not p!ss off a faction who in all probability aren’t going to sustain any kind of dealings with you, whereas the other race you share history with probably would.

I know what i’d do in that situation!

Honestly, this thread was concluded by the very first reply. Well done Tehya :handshake:

None. We have enough races to wedge into the main story as it is. Speaking as a guy who foolishly thought it was a good idea to unlock and level every single Allied Race good heavens no I don’t want any more of them. Only 4 of them actually felt like they were worth it and offered something unique (KT Shamans and Druids, Zandalari Paladins, Nightborne Warlocks) whilst everything else could have been customization options or they were a complete waste of time.

What do you have against Tuskarr? A great race!

I don’t want to see San’layn.

Anything Dragon-related.
I don’t want half-Dragons, Dragonoids or Dragonkin. And neither do I want anymore Elves(Void Elves and Nightborne never should’ve been playable either) or Humans(living, big, cursed or Undeath Humans are to many anyways).

No more furries please.

Bring me Grummles or bring me death.

How do you want it.

Painful, thanks.

I’ll send in the Warden.
