social aspect = waiting for half hour spamming global chat + walking to dungeons
And that is another reason why I don’t pay sub anymore.
No RDF - no pay for blizzard.
have more timesinks now I dare you xD
don’t forget walking BACK when you don’t have hs on cooldown… and otherwise wasting it’s cooldown for something that could have been just a simple & quick port in and out
pretty stupid imo
I’m just leveling all my haracters to 80 right now so I don’t suffer trying to do dungeons in later phases like what happened to me in TBC.
I am not even gonna bother wasting time for even one char on blizz server anymore.
Just unsub and playing elsewhere with RDF is much better since pservers actually have even less bugs than blizzard right now and have RDF xDD on top of that … how pathetic
Blizzard done it again with this launch hahaha they are the best at doing the dumbest things possible in order to lose even more money
hahaha, to be honest now that I think of it I am actually glad it’s going this way
no … they are just stupid, but hey someone has to pay blizzard for their bad decisions xDDD
At times I start to believe these anti-RDF trolls might be blizzard employees trying to rush ppl back to retail with all these parrot responses - GO BACK TO RETAIL xD and other baseless comments
Just because u lack social skills doesnt matter all of us do.
excuse me ? did you miss the part where I said I was trying to start conversations and people were telling me to not talk?
The thing is not having RDF does not have much to do with dungeons at all. Seriously.
I don’t know if this has been said outright at some point, but the primary motivation to keep RDF out of Classic is not to make dungeon runs more social, it is to keep the open world alive. The moment you can queue for dungeons from anywhere and get instaported, the world becomes more empty. From Cata and onwards a huge amount of players would level exclusively by spamming dungeons until max lvl, then they’d spam heroics until geared for bigger things which is when the game really begins in their eyes. They tried dailies to bring more life out in the bush, but that became a chore.
Non-rdf is a way to guarantee there is a healthy population of questers running around in the world. Last time I played retail the only ppl you’d meet outside major cities would be farmers and die hards who prefer the adventure to spamming dungeons and then grinding endgame.
Whether this is right or not I can’t really say, but I know that I like the lack of cross-realm shenanigans. But it is an artificial way of forcing players into the world, creating not a small bit of resentment and lots and lots of downright trollish behaviour. I get more grief from other Alliance on my server than from Horde…
And these unwanted group invites from ppl who haven’t said a word, gods they are annoying! Always happened, but now in wotlk Classic it is a plague.
Edit: If I was to suggest something I’d say make it like it was at first in the original Wrath - a daily heroic only. The real decay started when you could spam random dungeons indefinitely.
People already do this and have since day 1 of classic.
It’s not a valid argument.
Especially since queues for RDF makes people go into the world since they don’t need to sit in town.
Once again the usual Argument Number zeeeeen of zeeeeen, who obviously did not play before Wotlk and then has this experience and uses everything with Modern Social Connections and so on as their Arguement for killing the Social Aspects outside Guilds.
Yawn these Arguments man

lol, i do enjoy the fact people like to try invalidate others for having a differing opinon.
the issue is, u cant accept people of different mindsets played these expansions and may not have cared for simply trying to Make friends with every randomer they pass.
heres a Simple fact:
if a System HAS to force u to be social, it has to create a Enviroment u are required to do it for you to do it, ur not Social. u require a System in place to enforce a level of Social interaction.
this sorta mentality is why we ended up with borrowed power
“OMG PLAYERS LOVE BEING FORCED INTO SITUATIONS… LETS DO IT”
i remember standing around in towns with my guildies. On Voice Duelling for fun and Jumping around, however no i didnt bother Talking to randoms back the nany more then i do now.
my methods of playing dont invalidate my method of playing lol.
voice Existed during vanilla and TBC, MIINDDBLOWWWWNNN.
if u watch raids etc etc from back then u will hear TERRIBLE Mic usuage, becuase beleive it or not… we were using outside Game connections for communication…
its only the people who couldnt survive the levellnig of classic that never got to know this information lol
Wanna know how I use the current LFD tool?
I checkbox the heroic I want to go to.
I click “List Self”.
I wait ~5 mins (for heroics).
I get invited.
No one says a word.
How is RDF worse than this?
I don’t understand how RDF is killing the game and how that is the downfall of the game ?
Take for example Warmane it has RDF yet the server is always full.
Also the time that you will save by getting the classes that you want with the current tool won’t be improved since you will have to walk to the dungeons instead of just teleporting.
Did all heroics with some sweedes the other day, and we did alot of chatting, discussed and did som fun achieves to spice up the usual dungeon spam
The reason is less ppl dungeon spam simply because it is less convenient. The ones who cba going through the ritual of finding a group for dungeons will instead do a few more quests. It’s not really an argument, just a statement of how things work.
I’ve had enough time playing to see for sure that for most servers there is surely no big issue with LFG at level 80.
It still makes sense for it to exist for 1-70 though, especially now that Joyous Journeys is gone, I have a level 20 warrior and a 14 druid that aren’t going to be played any time soon.
I’m not being one of those lowbies spamming LFG channel for 1 hour.
Well the problem is clearly that you didn’t join the right kind of group ![]()
You see you should join a group that lists itself as a social experience in the group finder.
Ok and what do you think these people do instead then?
Quest?
No, they raid log. Do you think that’s good for the game?
Yet anyway ![]()
