There are alot of usefull Items in WoW. Not talking about the engineer BIS Items for PvP here, but about items that make your everyday life in WoW easier.
Lets collect some items that you cant do without.
My no.1 tip for people is to farm Gnomeregan for Hydrocane. Its a Staff that gives 15 Frost resistance and allows your character to breath underwater. Combined with the +15% swim speed belt from a Tailor, this is a discount Waterform, and honestly the best option until the fishing contest is live and you can get the water form trinket.
There are alot of Underwater quests in WoW, and they tend to be annoying as hell, since you have to dive down and back up for every single item/mob. The staff solves that, and since you can switch weapons in combat you dont even have to sacrifice anything. Just switch to the Staff when your breath runs out, and back to your weapon when its full again.
In my eyes, a must have Item for every class that can use a Staff.
But that means you have to do all the underwater quests without it… I started farming it with level 33… got it with level 36, and nearly all of that exp came just from gnomeregan mobs, which is impressive when you take into account that most mobs dont give exp and more at 35 xD
But it was worth it, the next day I did a Quest to kill Nagas, and it was a breeze.
Not completing the furblong quest line in ashenvale so you can turn yourself into an actual furblong whenever you wish. It was one of my deepest regrets in vanilla, i didn’t think it would work outside of ashenvale!!
Thanks for the list. But would you mind giving a little info what they are good for? I know Carrot on a stick increses your mount speed, but the rest, no idea^^
[Nifty stopwatch] https://classicdb.ch/?item=2820 increases run speed by 40 % for 10 seconds, 30 minutes cd. Before coming to badlands at level 40, don’t forget to turn to AH and buy 1 healing potion, 1 lesser invis potion, 1 frostoil, 1 gyrochronatom and 1 patterned bronze bracers.
[Jungle remedy] https://classicdb.ch/?item=2633 removes all diseases and poisons. No level restrictions. Drops off medics in kurzen compound (north of stv). A musthave item for all melee classes.
Thats pretty awesome for classes with no real hard single target Stun effects…
I guess I will put these and the Rope Net on my farm list, perfect when I have to pull from a big group of mobs^^
One of the most usefull armors for leveling, especially on a PvP Server is the Green Whelp Armor.
Its a Leather Armor that you can use from level 30 on and it has a 5% chance to put a target below level 50 to sleep for 10 seconds after it hits you with a melee attack.
Many people kinda forgot about this Item after Blizzard nerfed it, but its still an incredible usefull armor… I call it the “rogue Cockblocker” because I never once had a rogue not fall asleep while attacking me while I was leveling wearing this.
I cant count how often this armor saved my life… Every Char of mine that can wear leater wears one of those from 30 to 50.
