We are getting emblems from quests that was not in the game.
We are getting consumable packages from quests that was not in game.
Bosses buffed %30 that was not in the game.
Getting dual talent from start which it came with ulduar patch.
We are getting lvl 68 heirloom cold weather flying book which not introduced like that.
So these are not effecting the true experience of wotlk but rfd? How about class balance changes on patches we are getting 3.3.5 won’t that destroys your true don’t you want 3.0?
You won’t have a wotlk true experience but only the how could it be and if you have an argument about my possible problems that will cause not having rfd you can go tbc realms and tell me how good it feels to look for a specific dungeon w/o reserving evetything, waiting for a tank to bless your party or healer or mage. You gonna hate your first month of experience in wotlk and after that when you wanna have another 80 you will hate it more due to they wont have full blue guys in their party. Wish best about finding all blue guys or bis geared guy blesses your party.
The people against RDF wont hate removing RDF, because they dont need the RDF. They play premade groups or want the benefits of reserving items, when they play tank. The wont experience the RDF experiences they fear in the first place, because they would continue to play with friends and guild members.
They dont want a true wotlk experience either, since they like vanilla design over wotlk design. The less wotlk the expansion is, the better for them. They cannot understand players playing the game for gameplay reasons and dont want them in the game, so the more unenjoyable it is for them, the better.
Just queued for some dungeons in tbc on my 67 priest with the ingame tool. Got an invite, got a port. Apparently we did mana tombs. Everything that was typed by the other members until the dungeon was cleared was “yo” and “2 min brb”. With RDF it would have been the very same experience. Claiming this does only happen with RDF and without it, players are much more social and engaging, proves these people have no idea, because they actually dont play full random groups, that RDF tries to address.
So you made a premade group with RFD in tbc so you play with guys you don’t know and you are saying it removed the aspect of social interaction but if you did not use RDF tool and got inv what would change on your experience with that group? Asking if you are dps or healer I guess? So one more line that you can have social interaction with it?
I mean you are saying that w/o RDF tool that ports you to dungeon there are no social interaction when doing dungeon with people that you don’t know. Yeah then so it won’t make any difference porting to dungeon and be more convenient in a way we play then.
Thanks for putting out there are no social interaction in dungeons on TBC already we can enjoy at least porting in it and not spam countless time for a tank or a healer. Cheers
I listed in the tool for multiple dungeons with the text “holy priest” and simply got an invite as a fifth member of the group. After I typed “hi guys” I got a “yo”, I got a port and they moved to mana tombs. We did the dungeon and thats it. I wrote a bit more, but noone reacted in chat. The only thing that was typed was “2 min brb”.
I tried to say that this dungeon experience, as an example, was what players against RDF would say it would be with RDF, when it comes to social interaction. For me, there was no distinguishable difference in experience to a “anti social” RDF run these players describe.
And you think i am okey with some of these changes, why? We also had changes to Classic and TBCC. But all changes are not good changes. Just because they changed X dont mean they have to change Y.
The packages i dont agree with but i dont really care tbh as it is one time things.
Naxx buff was a good thing imo and very much needed.
I am not a fan with dual spec at all and would not mind if they took it out completly.
The cold weather flying book was like that but not at the start of the expansion.
None of the things you mention changes how the community works, RDF does change it. TO the worse. And we have over a decade of proof of it on retail.
I tend to solo heroics (in the way i usualy dont play with friends), No mmatter what class/spec i play i make my own groups, and i never HR items in HC. (I have HR enchanting recipies in Kara and ZA however)
If you have such a hard time getting a group becuase you play a class that is PvP focused and garbage in PvE then you can make your own groups and ppl will join you. But that also means you need to be social, specially in the early parts of an expansion. Later on you dont need to as you will steamroll everything. Wrath dungeons is sadly a complete joke but there is still achivements that need communication. And that is what most of you RDF ppl fall appart.
What community are you talking about lol?
Its 2022, the game is 14 old. Ppl know stuff because most ppl obv started playing during wrath.
You dont really care for the other changes but for lfd because of retail? Thats your argument? Retail lfd lost its job as soon mythic dungeons came and badges disappeared.
hc dungeons are shorter and easier in wotlk than in vanilla and tbc. So more travel time than running the dungeon? I think its even in my exp since ppl brb as soon they join a group.
gearing design in wotlk is much more focused on getting badges as fast u can. 3.3 was pretty much end content, which why ppl used the lfd a lot to gear it faster. Ppl seen the game and want things get done. Its a casual friendly game after all. I mean… whats the difference really at this point endgame tbc? Ppl use gdkp to gear asap which is super social community right? But dont want lfd while its also for faster gearing but not social?
the game is 14old and the game was made casual compared to vanilla and tbcc. I mean, every class/spec is viable in wotlk because of the 3.3 changes.
You know… i could go on. Blizzard will pull the lfd ripcord when things go bad and you would still play the game and use it.
Oh, achievs would still be earned during lfd. How? Because it was achieved 14y ago aswell and now for sure.
I played classic tbc and vanilla and also back in the day as well as wotlk. So can you briefly explain to me how it works?
Only valid thing you can say that " we are going dungeon with the people that we won’t see them ever again " yes this is sucks. So if we can have non crossrealmed lfd what would kill your social aspect?
You guys always saying it’s so bad to see them in dungeon then never see them but why? I mean if you are that much humanist join rp servers and go to sholazar basin have e-BBQ with your friends etc. Face it majority of people disgust going to dungeons, searching for a tank or healer, going caverns of time to assemble their group, also you won’t have rfd for vanilla and tbc content so it means you going to quest all over again not like chill on capital go random dungeons kinda thing.
Again you saying that it it changes how community works so what is the community in wow for you how does it work tell me please.
But before you do I tell you how it is; in tbc for SH key you need to kill Fel Reaver and use an item on it’s corpse. Whenever I see a person searching for people for that quest I was just saying “You don’t need a party for it” and %50 replied with “funny” reply, %25 were really toxic and actually %25 of them asked how. We have a toxic environment heck so toxic that FF14 changed their rules to lessen wow refugee’s toxicity in game.
So again what is our social works please I beg of you explain it.
How do you know its hated? Because you hate it ? Rdf is barely used, only with timewalking. Never seen ppl dislike the rdf for timewalking tho. If there is, show me threads where ppl HATE the rdf please.
RDF isn’t even being used for mythics. M0 is basically HC dungeons.
Also people keep complaining about everyone skipping bosses while leveling in RDF because reward XP at the end worth much more. Finishing fast and running again is the norm there.
People are getting kicked for not wanting to skip or accidently pulling an unnecessary pack.
Its quite toxic there. Even though leveling form 50-60 is a joke there compared to 60-70 or 70-80.
Yes and people won’t care about leveling new chars at that time and blizzard can simply put RDF cause boost selling margin will be lower so they can do their PR and say we kept simple.
Please critise my points on not having RDF if you wanna comment on it.
As a casual player I don’t have time to wait hours to find a group.
I remember the beautiful experience in WOTLK. With dual spec and RDF I was able to join dungeons instantly. Often I was joining with 2-3 players from my guild, running the daily every day, having nice and relaxed time.
I don’t judge people who likes to spam for hours LFG asking for a tank but this is not for me, I don’t have the time for it and, even if I had it, I find it a stupid way to invest my time.
Now horde is fleeing from Pyrewood Village and moving to Golemagg and the reason is that without RDF it will be impossible to run low level dungeons or to find mates for everything “not last patch” you want to do.
WOTLK was the most successfull era of wow in terms of users, in terms of player time online, and in my opinion even the most equilibrated and nice expansion. But at a certain point someone inside Blizzard start to take decision based on his perception, and not on numbers or data, and damage the players experience.
That happened in retail, now is happing in classic. Sad thing.
