What would make the alliance more popular?

Alliance are less likely to draft you in a war.

Well… It is called Warcraft for a reason.

The reason is that blizzard stole the ip from warhammer.

Anything else is honestly just excuses.

Like most Ive seen people do here as to why belf should change faction and just forget the strife they went throught that made them Horde to begin with.

It may sound harsh, but I don’t care which faction is placed where currently, not after the fiasco with the Nightbourne.

I am all up for a neutral faction that takes all those that are tired of Warmongers and leaders that actively sabotage their own faction (Velen!?!@).

Not sure this much of a good idea in terms of how pvp is set between factions.

Casual BG uses merc mode, rated BG matches you against both factions.

I am sure that something can be done for the World PVP, if you can find a decent enough reason to care about it.

TRue, but the fact is, it’s too much of a hassle and we all know how Blizz feels about it.

I am not so sure, if blizzard (or activision, let’s be honest) sees a monetary value in people being able to play cross faction, they would do it.

coughs Genn implicitly states this to Anduin in a cutscene “Thats the last of the soldiers, next we’ll have to call up the farmers”

Plus they do kinda use Penal Troops during Cataclysm. By Kinda, I mean, ‘They do’.

Which is even -worse- than drafting soldiers.

I’m not saying that the Horde don’t do this, I firmly believe that they do, but Alliance have no problem using the Draft.

There are many players who moved to that eralm because htey had alliance majorities, and were one of the few relams that did, , you need to look at the bigger picture, across the whole game,

But you can spend forever arguing that alliance is in fact the majority and there are no problems… closing your eyes and and telling yourself there isn’t a problem when there i one, won’t make it go away.

Leia, you do realise what the problem is here right? The alliance is on the horde through the blood elves and nightborne… either they change or blizzard puts the horde on the alliance.

If they do the latter, then what’s the difference between the factions? They become even less distinct, which is an option, but it’s further away from that “original” warcraft they claim to want to have.

There are other options to. Like merely boosting the alliance elves above the horde ones by just improving them instead of taking from the horde elves… this doesn’t solve your faction homogenisation caused by having the blood elves and nightborne on the horde in their current set.

As it stands, of all the options, the one I recommend is the one one that has will be the most effective and best solve the issues the game has with regards to the factions. It is not hte only option available

Oh Genn… the only faction leader on Alliance side that would actually go on a war path. I am sure he does not count on the space goats after they refused to help with Teldrasill.

I personaly don’t see it happen and it would take away some of the meaning of the theme of the game (even more than the current writting) that was two factions at war with one another.

It really depends on how it is done.

Do you think that some people from both sides are not tired of genocidal conflict year after year? If it is not demons, void gods or undead, it is the opposing faction. If I was living in Azeroth, at one point i would seriously consider moving full time to Outland as they have issues from demonic variety mostly.

Well, yeah, but if their leaders want to go to war, what can really be done, not fight back and face anialition?

If it has War in the name, I expect there will be war in it, otherwise, what’s the point of the title?

Of Warcraft or of War?

The history books are full of precedents of Wars being for the benefit of those in power, and those that were fighting rebelling, so is fiction. It is also… fact that those that fight without question usually end up in the worst situation after the war.

I don’t see much difference in the theme of these two words.

Irl history books? Then it’s a good thing this is a fictional world and not the real one, so not sure what you were going with that.

I made sure to say fiction as well, Malazan is case example.

Fair enough, still doesn’t explain your argument, is your argument you being tired to play a game about war?

Then I ask you? Why are you playing a game about war if your tired of war (in my understanding) and want the game to change? It’s not like this is the only game in existance.

Doesn’t matter.

You want Horde stuff, then Horde gets Alliance stuff and you have to sacrifice Night Elf and Draenei lands on Kalimdor.

Like you say it isn’t the only option, but if we go with what you want, you have to say goodbye to night elf and draenei lands. It’s quite simple.
Blood Elves, Nightborne and Forsaken will simply claim those lands from those two races and make further developments in Northrend, because that’s just fairness.

Maybe, you actually need to rethink your ideas because if you don’t want your precious nelfs to lose Kalimdor or the Well of Eternity, then maybe you need to focus in on Night Elves and what they did during BFA (Battle for Darkshore) and the Void Elves. (Forget the High Elves, they aren’t playable - anything “helf” is actually now for the Void Elves.)
