What would you rate TWW so far 1-10

Good:
-Music
-Art
-Story is okayish

Bad:
-Time gated content, when the content is very limited
-Very short story for the time being
-Early access killed the hype
-DEI
-Delves are not what they promised, maybe later it will be better
-Professions are bad, around 5% of player base likes it
-EPIC BG needs some solutions for sinc queueing

Right now it is a 5/10 , after all the time gated content I hope it goes up to an 8

Soft.

Not dark enough.

The main city with the dwarves is not even close to the beauty of Valdrakken. Huge step back!

Zones are too spacious even though we are supposed to be underground.

Zones are too generic and boring. Compare Isle of Dorn (the zone on the surface) with Revendreth for example. Complete opposite. You can fly from one end to the other end and see nothing but the same darn hills.

Scaling nonsense. Why are lvl 70’s more powerful than lvl 80s? This was never the case in the first expansions. Why does a lvl 70 kill a mob in the new expansion easier than a lvl 80? Isn’t the lvl 80 supposed to be stronger? Why do we even lvl up and gear up exactly? Defeats the purpose of an MMO. Super weird and cringe despite the benefits and freedom it gives

Healers are tankier than tanks. It takes enormous effort to take one down. Bring back TBC and Vanilla healer balance - healers wearing robes who have to be protected, not demigods carrying entire teams with the press of a few buttons

Major auction house lag.

Early Access. Pathethic

Even Warlords of Draenor, for example, was better than ths even though people remember it for the bad launch. After the issues were fixed in 24/48 hours after launch, everything was running smoothly and the zones were beautiful.

Lets say 8…ish.

Good:

Music

Xal’atath is a great villan.

Content for solo players,the delves.

A lot of cinematics which is amazing.

Follower dungeons, which I hope will be extended beyond normal in the future.

The new rated Bg,which I hope will work out.

Not so good:

The areas feel disjointed…somehow giving it a SL vibe.

The professions are atrocious…same as DF.Patron quests were supposed to help, instead they are mostly a hindrance. The gold needed to complete them can sometimes reach tens of thousands.

First time leveling is too fast, way too fast.

Not enough world quests and not reseting fast enough. Also not enough mobs sometimes, seagulls I am looking at you.

Some of the delves are not that good…The ones with the breath annoyance especially.

AH problems that took too long to be solved.

I’d say an honest 5/10. It’s a pretty average expansion overall.

The visuals are dated (very easy to tell when you’re flying and even with an RTX 4090 everything looks like it did 20 years ago - even with maxed out draw distance and details).

The story telling is bland and you can tell that the writers tried to check as many DEI boxes as humanly possible. I’m just bored with the whole Mary Sue/girl boss narrative. I’m sick of Anduin being a crybaby and I really dislike being forced to play with the Alliance as a Horde character.

Time gating is infuriating. Let me decide when to play rather than artificially extend the life of the game to drain people of their sub money.

The crafting system is cool and I enjoy that part a lot. The only downside I have found with it thus far is not being able to specify crafting rank for public orders.

PvP is boring, as I’ve come to expect.

False advertising in regards to unlocking the Earthen is VERY sus. It was promised with early access, then at release and now at the start of September we finally get it.

Delves are slow for no other reason than to be slow. Rewards are mediocre at this stage (because due to time gating we still can’t get anything cool or useful from them).

Follower dungeons are an OK way to get 4 free stacks of mage food/water and farm specific dungeons. Aside from that the AI leaves a lot to be desired.

I like the experience bonus for alt characters for each new char you bring to level 80.

Hopefully raids and Mythic+ will help redeem the expansion, but I honestly doubt it. The thought of having to rush through bugged dungeons like The Dawnbreaker is not appealing at all. So yeah, like I said - 5/10.

So they have no sort of a timer then? That is great news. I loathed the timer trend since MoP and until now

the first two zones had me on the verge of just not playing because the dorfs are so mind numbingly badly voiced how that got approved is beyond me. the last 2 zone’s saved it for me. 5/10 it’s ok probably wont resub for a year or so.

Where are all the male leaders in these xpacks lately wow = women of warcraft

It is too early to say it now so I cant judge! It is very good so far!

Early impressions are 8/10.

Not quite a Legion-sized expansion with all the Class Halls and Artifacts (not to mention content bringing you back into Azeroth), and the zones are obviously a bit one-dimensional in terms of their biome and general aesthetic since they’re all underground. I prefer it when zones have forests, snowy mountains, deserts, lush coastlines, and so on.

But that’s where the negative bits end. I love everything about Warbands, Delves have lots of potential, the story has been good for the first time in years, and transmog looks amazing. Music is 11/10. Easier to level alts is a wonderful change, too. Happy about my Paladin Hero talents and am excited to see where they take it next.

If I could magically change anything about the expansion, I would cut back on some of the Professions overhaul from Dragonflight and make those simpler again. I’m also really hoping for a patch that doesn’t take place underground, or at least brings in more colour.

depends, story/narrative and (regular) questing feels good, which is most important to me as an RPer and I want to stress that those are most important to me, but I do have 2 issues;

I will say that patron workorders feel absolutely terrible compared to just having been able to create a few work orders on my alt I could complete for knowledge points

also not a fan that a lot of world quests that have you interact with multiple objects and have you kill like a single mob that spawns from that interaction being hardcoded that you have to kill the mob before you can interact with the next thing rather then build up a collection of them and aoe them down makes me want to drop world quests already

I’m going with a solid 9. Definitely feel like it’s got enough there as I’m still working through it, and about to start my 4th character to level 80 with most of the ringing depths still to get rep quests done in.

Hate long dungeons but some of these don’t feel to bad on what little I’ve played them. Ran out as a Druid tank a few days back on ā€œPriory of the Sacred Flameā€ and got nothing but abuse because I wouldn’t pull the whole instance. Kudos to the healer, as he actually thanked me for not being a div. That experience, while nothing new, has put me off tanking for scrubs again, as their mentality isn’t going to change.

I don’t give a monkey about the time gating before Mythic and Raiding starts. I play too slow to worry about this and don’t have the time to play very often at that level anyway. I can raid with the guild when it starts as I’ve got time to gear up now, even while trying to explore as much of the new stuff as possible. I get how other people might be keen for things to be available quicker, but this is just my opinion.

Music is top-notch this expansion. Not to say others have been poor but it’s just very noticeable how many others seem to be commenting on it as well.

I did early access so was oblivious to most of the usual launch hype when everyone else came in. Had zero issues as a result of less players zerging through the start zones but I did kind of miss the launch excitement when you have everyone on the Zep platforms waiting to travel to the new areas, and all the trolling that goes on.

Two minds on Delves at the moment. I just find they take a while to do and I get distracted easily. Then again I’m not a fan of how slow it is to get through some quests as well. I don’t mind time-gating as a concept to keep people engaged in the game as there is more coming, but I’m not a fan of keeping people playing just because it takes ages to complete something. Then again I’m old, so that’s probably just a me thing.

Story, i do have the general gist. I don’t really pay too much attention to what’s going on but there’s nothing particularly at issue here. Although I wish Anduin would stop being such a wuss and just man-up. I definitely prefer going through the side quests and seeing culture references and easter eggs.

I do like the option to be able to swap flight styles after doing the main story and exploring all the zones. And the experience boost for your alts increasing as you level up more of them. Great move, along with getting rid of pathfinder flight restrictions.

Without even seeing later content I’m going to put this expansion in my top three already. I just feel Blizzard are getting it right recently, as I also put Dragon Soul in there too.

Bad change is bad yes thats how it works.

8/10 from me (from wjat little ive played so far).Music and art is top notch as always, delves and follower dungeons are great additions for solo players, campaign is decent, side quests are a tad boring but some are incredibly well written (Dwarf with Alzheimers, got me quite sad in the end). Definitely an improvement over DF.
Only issue for me is some irritating bugs where you cant pick up/hand in quests without moving away then returning to the NPC

Can’t say anything yet, season hasn’t started.

errr 5/10

pvp is too slow

A lot better than dragonflight, which was one of the most boring expansions for me.

I hoped they’d focus more on Xal’atath and the void and less on dwarves and arathi humans.

And I also hoped playing the main campaign would get me to level 80 and not get me stuck at 77.

So 6.5/10

That’s super subjective. Me personally, I didnt like Valdrakken very much, too spacious and big buildings, seemed too chaotic for me.
I like the dwarven architecture of Dornogal much more and i think its more easier to orient there.
But im just a simple gnome who was used to live in Ironforge

cons: Short story, timegating, dwarfs.

DF v2 basically.

Many awful events with very minor (will soon be irrelevant for most) rewards. Useless reputation. WQ’s with mostly garbage rewards.

But it was what i expected tbh.

The biggest issue is the late M0 dungeon release. It makes zero sense to release them the same week as the nm/hc raids.

5/10 so far, completely average. Best part was the super fast leveling.
