Ive sunk so many hours into this game since august last year and had some really great times. For me the best experience was leveling my shaman with my friends, all on discord, all drinking beer and reminiscing. I also loved taking part in some wpvp raids which I never did in vanilla
Simply questing, doing the old quests I did back then. Remembering fondly how hard it was to find those objectives, running about.
I also have to mention the feeling of community. Adding players to my friends list after a nice dungeon run, knowing I will possibly run dungeons with them later on. Not simply being teleported to a dungeon with a bunch of random players, but actually having to be social and interact with others to succeed and become revered on the server.
Nice thread
My best Experience has been “Inventory full”
To me it was the renewed feeling of immersion. Now that I’m min maxing a bit on some stuff it’s less prominent but overall I still feel part of the world while playing.
The same as in Vanilla/BC for the first part; slow questing at night. It’s such a comfy thing to do when you can do it.
Other than that, dungeoning with a chill party.
Pretty much just the first month of classic, being able to level with people… now it’s just all boosting or nobody’s out in the world.
First month was amazing. Now it’s basically just like retail tbh
The beginning was a lot of fun, and the day I was done with ranking I just couldn’t stop smiling, it was so satisfying to finally reach the goal that I had set out for after an incredibly grueling grind.
A lot of role playing time on Hydraxion Waterlords and making new friends I guess are my highlights. The game is still fresh for me as I’m just leveling alts at the moment.
For me, it’s WoW in general rather than Classic specifically, but it would be the group stuff. Raiding, dungeons, sometimes even lvling if we’re storming a huge area with lots of elites, like Stromgarde Keep or Jintha’Alor. I might hate lvling in general, but this stuff I like a lot.
I’d enjoy the same idea if TBC got released, and I’d enjoy it even more. That’s my favourite version.
Low level dungeons with its quests and events
Bfd, caverns, deadmines and razorfen
Everything after level 29 get superboring until TBC
The general levelling experience and the feel of a living world those first two months. I lvled as prot from the get go to put the pserver tanking practise id acquired to good use and every dungeon I ran being a success with people genuinely appreciating the effort. (pretty lucky as I ran ALOT of dungeons)
Also beating Ragnaros into submission that first time was awesome too.
I have a very specific story which has been my best experience. A tale of betrayal.
I was questing in STV at around level 38 on my Alliance Druid in the ruins nearby to the entrance of the Gurubashi Arena. A level 60 Human Warlock ran up to me and invited me to a group without saying a word. I always thought this was rude but i was curious so accepted the invite.
He proceeded to tell me that the chest was about to enter the arena and he wanted my help being a distraction. So together, we run into the stands of the arena. I stealth and point out a 60 Orc Warlock standing behind one of the pillars on the other side of the arena. My new found Warlock friend proceeded to kill him and we both jump down as the chest enters.
Just as the chest is placed on the group, a 60 Horde Lock and 60 Horde Mage enter the arena. My Lock buddy goes straight in and makes quick work of the other Warlock. Luckily - and rather strangely - they didn’t fight at the same time. Just as the Horde Lock dies, the Mage attacks and has the better of my Lock friend, so i bomb him with some max-rank healing touches, and we come out on top.
With the arena now empty, we both stand at the chest. This is where he tells me he’s going to log his twink which is logged out at the chest and I am to stand guard. He sits down as he logs out, and he disappears. This is where i think… I could loot the chest. I quickly decide that after accepting the unannounced invite from my Lock friend, identifying hiding Horde and keeping my Lock alive, I am deserving of this prize. So, i start to open it, not knowing how long the cast to open the chest is.
About 2 seconds before the cast ends, the Lock appears on his lower level character - and as he appears, I open the chest and auto-loot. I pop cat form and dash, and begin running out. I only see; “did you just…” in /say - and I’m gone…
I never received a hateful whisper, i think he accepted what happened. It was a tale of brief companionship that turned to great betrayal - and it had my heart rushing.
/end
I don’t know if I agree with that. Atleast on my main realm zandalar tribe there are lots of lowbies in the world
So are you complaining about limited bag space or low key bragging that you farm a lot?
Anyway. Communicating with people. Actually forming groups. And slowly feeling my main get stronger with every little bit of new gear or enchant.
what do you mean? it just made me giggle everytime why be so mad about it
He must just lost loot to ret pala, hes mad bro
Just got the tiger mount from ZG so I think that.
Meh, riding a Tiger sweet cat is just mean !
Release it back to nature.
Calling PETa
The day Cloudkeeper Legplates dropped in my Scholo run, and I rolled the highest. These beauties gave me an epic mount, all enchants, and enough gold to start serious raiding.
