Make you play metrics, like AP farms. A subscription based game should NEVER have a mechanic that forces you to log in and play daily or lose player power.

I would have been fine with the original classes.

I would say phasing/sharding, and having multiple instances of the same map coexist.

While people were upset when Cataclysm changed the oldschool maps, I think it was the correct decision. I liked the Thousand Needles better before Cataclysm, but I still think that it’s great for an MMORPG to see the world permanently change before you eyes.

Now there are multiple versions of every map and the world feels empty because we’re all locked in our own micro-instances.

What they did to Arthas in shadowlands.

Flying, makes the world feel empty as people bunny hop from one objective to another

Giving the Blood Elves to the Horde where their ancient Troll enemies found refuge, Orcs who attacked the planet and their kingdom aided by the Trolls, Goblins who sold wepons to the said alien invaders and their allies and undead are around who decimated their population…

This would have been my #2.
And now that they designed so many maps with Flying in mind, they can never go back and remove it. They can never introduce things like GW2 mounts.
They’re stuck with Flying forever.

Trying to make wow an e-sport game.
10k people watching great push. what a success XD

Lore going on the “for peace !” and " what do we want to show for children (aka sylvanas garrosh speech)" way instead of keeping the Warcraft 2 to Cataclysm lore way “The world is in war but doesn’t stop to slap the opposite faction !”

What make the great story of Warcraft is mostly the good and bad side
The peace way of Anduin way is supposed to be a plan of Onyxia to tear appart the Alliance, not what War Craft should be

Introducing timed mythic instances without offering the option of non timed.

I’d say cross realm LFG for dungeons, the one that got introduced late Wrath.

But… I fully get why they did it, doing dungeons was frustrating on more quiet servers by that time, there were so many complaints and people being unhappy on their servers.

I do think it contributed a great deal to the mindset of other people being either good or bad bots, dehumanisation of other players in a way.

People were acting like that towards each other long before anything cross-realm was added. I was in ICC pugs that disbanded after 1 boss because two muppets tore at each other for no reason.
Automated cross realm MM lets you replace people instantly and saves the run for the other 4/24 people. This is a win.

I preferred cata random HC where there was no time pressure, just the pure challenge of beating the bosses. But this isn’t suitable for endgame difficulty nor for a ladder/ranking system, which is what their goal was.

Playable vulpera.

  1. The Maw - ugly, horrible, depressing place, use to be hell for low geared, levelling solo players.

Very hard to believe that the Jailer’s wanted everywhere to look like this.

  2. Gating important storylines and campaigns behind dungeons without an alternative. (although this is improving).

  3. Near constant Puddle spam during fights, rather than stand and blast, high movement fights are difficult and less fun for me.

It did happen yeah, I mean, it has happened ever since I started playing mmo’s in 1999. But I’d say it were exceptions, it wasn’t the rule, at least in my experience. LFD unintentionally fed that attitude very much.
