So not speaking English automatically makes you a bad person and a murderer ? That is pretty low standards of yours xyrathe .plus singling out London because it has one of the most diverse community in UK.
That can be your opinion, but they don’t determine whether someone is a ‘worthy human being’. Unless you want to argue someone like Mengele was, because of the qualities you deem indicative of someone being high quality.
High/low quality people is a horrid take, and one that has repeatedly led to some of the worst behaviour humanity can display.
It may be our Dutch rebellious spirit but here the fact that ‘the System’ draws conclusions based on data is not automatically reason to draw the same conclusions as living, breathing human beings.
I’m not denying the objective fact you allude to, I’m stating there is zero reason for us to simply comply and say that is all that matters. A great deal of our qualities can’t be measured and yet impact daily life very much.
One of the differences is population. When there are 5 players in a zone, practically nobody is going to steal your node or chest. When there are more PC than NPC characters, it’s a race. On the upside, some mining nodes spawn every 30 seconds.
Not making this up. A casual /who 1-79 would often yield less than 50 players. When endgame was already a fad but dungeon finder didn’t exist. And I’m pretty sure it was the wee hours. (One thing is sure, all my dungeons were boosted from level 40 all the way to 70. That’s how I found my raiding guild! Lovely people.) Nevertheless.
These days we have better match making and group finding systems. You meet more people, thus get a higher amount of hits on toxic players. This may not means there are more toxic players than in the past. The issue with bad experiences is that you tend to focus on them and remember them over the good ones.
On the right day we are all toxic. Leaving before the mythic+ is done, telling people they are crap etc. Engaging in filtering other players base on elitism, just because we feel winning is a god given right for someone of our skill level. The list is endless and we are all doing it.
"Narcissistic personality disorder involves a pattern of self-centered, arrogant thinking and behavior, a lack of empathy and consideration for other people, and an excessive need for admiration* . Others often describe people with NPD as cocky, manipulative, selfish, patronizing, and demanding."* - Helpguide . org"
" Narcissism is a self–centered personality style characterized as having an excessive preoccupation with oneself and one’s own needs, often at the expense of others."

You are talking about ONE behavior pattern out of several in the definition of narcissism.
If you can’t see the connection between "self-centered, arrogant, lack of empathy and consideration for others, cocky, selfish, demanding and excessive preoccupation with one’s own needs, and the behavior of the players that I’m talking about, then I hope you ain’t a Psychologist.
The tendency has sadly been for years that people feel their own needs are more important than other people’s needs, a sense of enhanced self-importantce and lack of empathy for others and they show it. That IS narcissism for you, and there’s lots of it in WoW in various degrees and in society as well.
Many realised years back in mmos that you don’t have to hide it, just let it out because there is next to no consequences in WoW, unlike in real life.
The anonymity, that you can hide behind a screen support this behaviour if there are no means taken against it and WoW has been extremely poor in countering this kind of behaviour.
Most people acting like smocks in games, would never dare that kind of behaviour in RL, because they would probably get a fist in their face for it.
I’m assuming that you are one of these “cool kids”, and the perfect example of the type of players that I’m describing.
So thank you for proving my point and to be a great voluntary example.
Now, as an adult person, there is no point for me to discuss this with you. You would need to gain a few years under your belt first.
But I’ll give you some advice instead, and something to think about.
I know that it’s important to feel “cool” at your age.
Having great skills in a game, and showing off rare and powerful gear can be cool.
But to behave like I describe and that you confirm is legit and “cool”, is anything but cool. Rather the opposite.
To justify “cheating”, to have a nasty attitude, and to exploit others’ kindness and fairness for your gains, is labeled as abusive and pathetic in most parts of the planet.
And you can’t brag about any gained achievement if you haven’t done the hard work it takes and not by the rules.
You see, to steal the reward from others’ hard work is not being cool at all, it’s called being “carried”.
If you want to sound smart - being a cool kid? Then don’t use a reference taken out of its context, just to fit your opinion, otherwise you just sound like the kids you obviously hate so much.
The nuclear family, is a concept that has first been described as a universal human social grouping, a complex entity, the core of the family and how it has undergone significant changes and is in constant change, changes when society changes, changes that are under the influence of specific historical, economic and cultural circumstances.
People have been writing and theorizing about it the last 70 years + and you just rip it out of any context to say
You twist things to make them fit into your arguement.
Okay,I get it because people who were supposed to be role models in RL are doing the same…only think about themselves, how to further themselves on the expense of everyone else, and if they step on other people they don’t care. But it doesn’t make it right. It’s still a disgusting way to behave, a narcississtic way of approaching whatever in life.
No, it’s not a fact. It’s how YOU perceive the world.
No it just means that too many players are so full of themselves, with zero tolerance, because they think they are better human beings because of pixel armor, pixel achievements, pixel performance and you can all howl together how good you are – in the game.
If time = money you would be working in rl or studying instead of sitting and gaming your life away. That’s where time is money.
No, I’m not a psychologist, you can rest easy. I do however take some interest interest in psychology.
Nearly all of those you’ve highlighted are traits that overlap between a ton of personality disorders, but more importantly they’re far too general, vague, and not nearly sufficient to diagnose or label someone with a personality disorder, or even a narcissistic personality. The worst thing you did however is that you, perhaps intentionally, didn’t highlight the most key part or narcissism: an excessive need for admiration. It feels like you first came to a conclusion and are now cherry picking whatever definitions fit your conclusion, and omitting the rest.
Not a single one of the behaviours you listed in your OP will result in any kind of admiration for the subject. Nearly all of them would even cause the opposite. If you were willing to reach really far for a label, you’d be much more on point with calling those people sociopaths, but again even that is a massive stretch.
The funny thing about playing online with others is that it’s really easy for people to not automatically connect the characters they see on their screen with the actual human beings controlling them on the other end. Because of that it’s far easier to be more selfish in following whatever goals one has with less empathy than they’d show in real life.
It also depends on the culture. I’ve been around. I’ve seen places. The fact is there are better places that are poorer and worse places that are more wealthy. Truth is some cultures are better than others.
