seems like an alliance problem i never go there my self to look at dryads 
I’m not too much of a nostalgic normally, but even the Legion iteration was a downgrade from the dryad model in Wotlk they did for the Frost Nymph in the north of the Howling Fjord. This one is just horrible. It feels like it came from War3 Reforged.

I think they look fine, I also don’t think you know what a hermaphrodite is. I think it’s an effort to move away from the Disney-esque representation of dryads we have had in game so far toward something that’s a bit more primal and a more accurate female counterpart to the male version we have. Your comments about untalented artists are nuts, the art team in wow are generally accepted as one of the strongest parts of the game and I really doubt you know any junior designers IRL. Seems like you are more worried about pronouns and having your in-game dryad girlfriends develop an interest in fourth-wave feminism then art and design.
You can doubt whatever you want. I said what I said. I’m mobile developer and I do talk with junior designers in real life due to my work. Hermaphrodite in this case is an androgynous being that possesses both female and male features.
If modern WoW art is “the strongest part” in your opinion, well then I’m not surprised people with dumpster taste get into this industry anymore.

Developers are not known for their design sense, that’s why they are on the dev team and not the art team, I know because I have worked with both and any time a dev is left to do any sort of design work it ends up looking like a kid did it on windows 98.
And I cope just fine mate, certainly not lying awake at night thinking of the underexposed genitalia of dryads and their pronouns!

They already had long arms, they didn’t have them done in 2 hours before deadline in T-pose
They updates some models based on their decision , how in the hell they can account that players don’t like them ? last time i check they can’t read people’s minds . now let me guess they should roll back ? because 11 people on forums liked your post ?

I don’t expect them to change their opinion based on my post alone. I expressed concern asking a rhetorical question that I don’t expect you or anyone to answer directly, for the sole purpose to create discussion. Some people will agree with me, some don’t. Some already presented interesting and sound points both against and for my opinion.
You can say my post is a droplet in an ocean but ocean consists of droplets, and if there will be enough to create a waterfall, Blizzard would probably take notice. Just like Paramount Pictures has changed their Sonic vision when fans expressed their concerns.
If not - things will stay the same and they will think they’re doing everything right. It’s simple. That’s how democracy works, is it not?

PS They had 18 years to “read people’s minds” and understand what their playerbase is expecting their game to look like without trying hard to look like another asian MMO
I first noticed it on my horde character in druid legion class hall. I expect we will see a lot of them in the Dragon Isles

There does seem to be an issue with art consistency and direction lately on quite a few of the newer character models and assets. I can get behind higher definition etc etc as times change but it needs to fit.

I think the dryads look fine, honestly.
The redesign that I have issues with is the gnolls. Those new ones look terrible to me.
I agree with you 100% . It’s so sad to see anything that displays femininity being classified as taboo. Unfortunately it’s not just in here it’s happening.
I’m an artist/illustrator and I’ve had so many friends from groups I’m a part of, on social media being suspended or banned for putting up art, that would otherwise be considered quite normal.
I’ve deleted my own account from several sites, because they’re simply overrun by the social media justice cult.

I too, completelely agree with OP.
The old dryad model had some hard to explain graciousness, spirtuelle charm feminity.
These new models look like they took too many steroid and male hormones.
Why coul not we had a improved version of this:
