What's your Classic experience is like so far?

Well, two manned it with a friend. I’m not sure to go Balance or be a healer with resto. Depends on what would be more useful eventually with dungeon runs if I ever do them.

Don’t mind the low drop rates, gave me time to get a few bags of grey stuff to sell for money, gathered herbs so it’s grindy but it’s okay really. It helps in other ways and I didn’t get bored and only had to log off last night when the server turning off notification came on the chat window.

Having so much fun. Shame I didn’t play this first time around. (Was stupid, thought WoW was like Warcraft 3, wasn’t a fan of RTS back then) Only a TBC gamer when I joined the game.

So this is new to me, no elites or stuff being dumbed down for next expansion.

As a player:

Que time
World server down
You have been disconected
Que time

70% waiting in queues
20% drinking and running
10% auto-attacking

My first WoW character was a druid from back in tbc at the Sunwell patch when i started to play.I think the best way to go is feral, you will oom(and have a lot of downtime, drinking mana) alot with balance. And gear wise you dont bis hunt while leveling everyone is just grabing what ever they get there hands on.
But while leveling feral is the way to go.It just get boring with spamming rip and mengal.

Welcome to a game, where you need to think with your head.

i wonder where is the "no change " crowd here

back then respawns took forever .

4 hours sat in a queue.

they with there pserver experince got shut down by Blizzard pulling out the refference client numbers, when it comes to spawn times.

  • Que for 1-2 hrs in the morning.
  • Play for couple hours and get random DC
  • Que for 4-6+ hrs
  • Play for couple more hours
  • Logging off and going out
  • Trying to login before bed and play for a while - seeing 5K+ ques (2-4+ hrs)

Great experience… Just… fantastic!

I think Classic has it’s own place. Some like retail and that’s fine. I like pandaren, I loved monk class and never really liked changes after Mists really.

But also Classic is just different. People will learn to change as there is no random dungeon queues, no LFG at all, so you have to build up a reputation that is liked on the realm.

So steal mobs, steal ores/herbs and get a bad rep which means harder to find a group or guild later for end game content or dungeon runs.

1 and 2 chats have been amazingly polite, so much life in meeting others in the world, helping out here and there, buffing, healing which I’ve been doing on my druid.

Not made any friends yet in the game within classic yet, but hoping that’ll change as time goes on but looking at Classic in a different way, it compliments Retail as it offers a different experience.

In fact it would be a great way for new players to do Classic first, enjoy the game levelling from 1-60 as a challenge and if they want to remain on Classic they can but then if not they can go onto retail and do the instant level for that expansion and experience that.

At least there would be some better knowledgeable players knowing when to not stand in something and how to kite, manage things better when questing, dungeoning and doing end game raiding.

Classic would help train those for Heroic and Mythic raiding I feel.

So yeah, I don’t see either as better or worse as each other but a way to compliment Warcraft for better of both. Classic could help rebirth major interest in the IP again, after all which would help retail in the long run as well for many reasons, some I mentioned just now.

playing as hunter is fun exept the between 8 and 10 was a bit challlenge and died few times by way to fast respowns.
community feels really great on my server with peeps asking to group up for some quest ( hey folks dont shoot me but blind invite i dont accept)
helping eatchother when in trouble etc.
all in all a great exp so far , now lets playsome more now i have bibi :joy:

Atm my experience is more sitting in queue than playing.

I’m on Hydraxian Waterlords so haven’t had any issues queuing. I didn’t start playing WoW originally until Cata, so all of this, particularly the questing, is brand new to me. I’m loving the slower, more hardcore pace and general lack of direction - it feels much more like an RPG to me and is infinitely preferable to the rushed, linear feel of leveling in Retail. Plus no anthropomorphic pandas, flying motorbikes and other such nonsense!

Yeah, it’s like playing Skyrim or other RPG games where you need to take time, plan and make sure you have enough money to get what you need to get a certain task done, be that drink to replenish mana, food, bandages and other items. Nothing says you messed up if you run out. Especially for hunters when their gun/bows run out of ammo.

Loved that before Blizz made those infinite, always loved engineers making bullets and arrows until they were removed sometime in WOLK or was it Cata?

Oh my I feel that resist happens so much on mage  its killed me many time snow

Classic experience so far is alt-tabbed watching netflix and youtube videos just to altf4 because i cant pass the screen queue.

Hope you had enough by now and go back to sleep. These queues are annoying.

Seems to me you see retail as: M+ and raiding. Those are good aspects of the game since they lean more towards previous expensions; no lfg (have to communicate to make a group) and challenging. Besides this retail is an utter snooze fest without any feeling of progression.
