When are you going to take action against M+ rage quitting?

Seriously, when?

It’s so convenient to leave the group at the slightest inconvenience, and so wasting the time of 4 other players (and the key too). And the leaver goes unpunished and can do that over and over.

This enables toxicity, nobody wants to have their keys depleted or spend 30+ minutes into a dungeon just for the tank to leave before the last trash pack because someone did a minor mistake.

Can we do something about it? For now, the player report system does not allow you to select something like “bad in-game behavior”. And the nature of M+ does not allow replacing players.

Thank you

Good luck with this. Your appealing to ppl who can fix their game or do decent CS. :frowning:

i believe it comes under trolling or griefing - there ya go, and another tip - NEVER pug, just join a community and escape the crap that is rife in pug world

Your first mistake was puging M+
Unless you manage to be able to tell what kind of player everyone is before the keystone is put on the pedestal, you are playing a casino with pugs

Actually, removing depletion upon someone leaving would be a great start.

nobody will think of leaving on purpose in order to restart they key on better odds?

Not a good thing to do since even well-played groups will just leave and repeat the same key without depleting it.

This would be a good fix honestly

right when théy tune everything to be like a Cos 20 or a shadowmoon burial grounds 20+

So what ?
If the whole group agrees to do that, who are you to tell them “no” ?
And if you happen to be part of such a group and you don’t want to restart over and over, then you can simply leave the group.

So… what ?

i had couple of tanks in shadowlands who left right after the key started. tbh a flag or % of completed dungeons would help to avoid those players. of course a deserter debuff or score punishment ahould be considered

If you’re running into leavers often enough to want them to be punished, you’re doing something to cause them to leave. Stop doing the thing that causes people to leave.

never.

stop hoping for free boost and do keys appropiate to your own skills and gear.

m+ are very hard this season . accept it - respect the dungeons and people wont be leaving.

and dont pug keys above certain level. there is a reason why KSM this season requires combination of 13s and 14s not all timed 15s.

m+ are harder then raiding atm . its deliberate move from blizz. so go into dungeons keeping this in mind.

That same question was first made in Legion, in 2016, almost 7 years ago, repeated milion times thru the years and they still didnt do anything about it.
Do you really think they will suddenly do something now?
If it bothers you so much, find people you know and do keys with them only.

Wait a minute, if the group is doomed, why force anyone to stay in? I do not get it. There should be no penalties at all. Most of the groups I have been playing with are extremely nice, polite, civilised, even though PUGs. But I have also been in bad groups, with one or more bad players, which cannot be carried (eg the tank), and there the group wipes or delays with bad pulls… Why stay?

ye i actually rarely encounter leavers. ofc it happens but When it happens its always because the key is cringe and depleted.

if you want people to brute force a key and not leave even if its giga depleted then make sure thats agreed upon before starting.

You know when you get no leavers on your key? When you take your time to make a group that has the same goals as you.

  • When you see a player that has timed the key at +16 and you have it +13, DO NOT take him, he just wants an easy run for an item.

  • Do NOT invite an alt of a 2.7k player in your group, he has higher expectations and will NOT stay if something goes wrong.

  • If you want to FINISH your key, then make it clear. Make a group stating that it is WEEKLY/ NO LEAVERS/LEARNING. If people accept the worst scenario, they will stay in almost every case (ofc no 4 hours for a +4).

  • Invite people that seem underqualified for your key. When doing a +9, and you do not want any leavers, this paladin with 1100 score and almost all out of time +10s, will stay until the end. Give a chance to the people like that, those are the ones that are gonna stay.

  • Finally, you can ignore ALL the above, and wait in queue for the 2.5k player that is boosting his friend, or 4 other people that are overqualified for your key. But then be prepared that IF something goes wrong (from mechanic, dc, toxicity), your key is over.

I don’t expect free boosts, if i did i had KSH on all chars by now
I’ve had perfect keys that would have easily be a +2 or +3 get bricked because tank/healer rage quitted because of a minor inconvenience. I’ve even had a healer last night who rage quitted because they failed a mechanic and insta died.

They did about solo shuffle. To be honest this is more difficult to be properly implemented, since the group can decide to disband, in this case it won’t be fair to give everyone a deserter-like debuff since this was agreed upon.

because they dont want to pay for boost with gold and want blizzard to force others to carry them for free.

its you who invited those people. those are consequences of your own actions.

next time invite someone with maybe non - meta spec or 100 score less , but one that wont leave.
