Oh, the irony… I read the book and I thought it was dross, specifically aimed at white males with low self-esteem… hence the focus on the Columbine shooters… you however, thought it was brilliant.
Fair enough, I’m the same there. But like I said, using “autist” as an insult only helps encourage a negative connotation to the word which is extremely difficult to clean up.
You are, of course, entitled to your own view of things, but there are people out there - like myself - who do strongly disagree with it.

Everything you’ve countered @Roxxanne is right but Roxxanne is right too. The very sad fact is that there are some parents who dont seem to care at all what their children are doing and cant be arsed to care for them at all, let alone teach them how to be with people.
There are very young kids with access to the net and they’re influenced by the behaviours that they see, this in turn creates the problems.
Sometimes I truly think that you (and I dont mean you personally) should have a licence to be able to have children

the American idea i think is ‘anything the ‘victim’ feels uncomfortable with’ as with assault which seems to me to be too much of a grey area…
it doesn’t become harassment imo until you ask the person to stop, here they just made a simple wolf whistle an act of sexual harassment…i don’t particularly like it myself but it’s a pretty harmless thing in itself whereas harassment is persistence…
not sure i want to live in a word where you feel you can’t tell someone they look great today without fear of them taking it the wrong way because i’m pretty sure that’s where it’s going…
i’m not saying it’s ok to be a poophead but i really believe we need to stop pandering to the plague of sjwism right now…

The fact “you don’t see it” doesn’t mean the other party won’t feel that way and won’t take your advice the wrong way.
Your “not seeing it” is because you are considering the advice in a rational way, but people are often not rational, especially when they are in some form of distress. Assuming they would react rationally can fail spectacularly, which is very unfortunate but something to take into account.
What I said is to be careful when giving the advice instead of assuming the same advice works the same on different people in different situations. How you translate this to “never give advice” I honestly don’t know.
