When is 9.1?

I haven’t followed Blizzcon streaming. I don’t know if I missed Blizz announcement, Q&A or whatever.

I haven’t seen any info about the release date of 9.1 yet. With the whole wow panel and Q&A going on, nobody asked this most basic and important question: When is 9.1?

The whole wow part is about 9.1, but Blizz is not even sure about the date? Ridiculous.

Seeing as 9.0.5 went up on the PTR only a few weeks ago. I think we can safely say that 9.1 is comming in mid may at the earliest.

It’s so far from being done you could see it in what they talked about and what they showed, if it comes before July or august I’ll be very surprised it looks like it’s in pre-alpha at best

Looking at what they showed at Blizzcon I doubt 9.1 will be ready within 3 months. I’d expect Q3 earliest.

I hope early Q3 at the latest.
9.0 (and the few changes for 9.0.5) isn’t enough for another 4 months for me personally. New PVP season isn’t until 9.1 either right?

I’d say Q2 for 9.1, then TBC in late Q3 / early Q4 (unless I missed a date for that?).

Q3 would make this the longest X.0 - X.1 patch cycle by a significant margin.

Population’s gonna drop to single digits if that’s the case.

I streamer from the TOP guild typed that there is ~ half year to 9.1. Mb they have more information, who knows.

Gonna be a toss up between TBC and 9.1 on what comes out first. With what was shown, I wouldn’t be surprised if TBC wins by quite a margin and 9.1 will be after the Summer period…

They have not… It’s just an educated guess.

They showed only sketches or rough ideas, no boss from the new raid or the dungeon. No actual footage from the new zone.

This patch is going to be released earliest in summer if that’s the current progress.

I’m just making a judgement on what they showed, the patch looks extremely early in development and that development is going to be slow because of Covid. I really want it early and I really want them to fix the issues in game. I’m disappointed but it is what it is.

Legion dates patches released broken, SL can be almost 3 years. And plus TBC going to be released this spring - so 9.1 close to summer, yes.

Blizz will push patch sooner and then open raid few weaks after due to testing. They done it like this before in legion. It is coming early june at the latest.

OK, but wtf is the point in announcing it decades earlier !? If it’s coming in May they should announce it in April. It’s a freakin patch not an expansion ffs.

What ? What does covid have to do with it ? Home office should make it faster not slower. They don’t have to waste hours to get to work and back.

The anima drought is turning into a content drought. Maybe those people that Bobby fired very actually needed for the proper development of the game, huh?

They usually announce patches way in advance during Blizzcons. Otherwise they wouldn’t have anything WoW related to talk about. For example, Patch 8.2 was announced nearly 8 months before it went live.

Its around 90 days of PTR, so if the 9.1 PTR goes live in late March, it would be late June or July.

Personally, i cant see it go live before July.

Yeah it had to mid to late summer earliest as the announcements were so much about what they didn’t show than what they did! There’s a whole new section of the maw with bases and quests and so far we have…1 screen shot. We have no videos and the what’s next panel opened with Ion basically saying “we haven’t done any system design yet” … It’s a long way off.

Shame . Overall I like SL but 7 - 8 months for the first .1 patch will hurt the expansion

With 9.0.5 timing I already expected it to be start of summer, late spring earliest.
