The only real thing that will balance the servers would be faction change from horde to alliance and enough players willing to swap. I really donât see any other solution considering the overpopulation.

Yes, and therein lies the problem.
Names, I would guess, are possibly one of the biggest things preventing people from moving servers. As for switching factionsâŚwho can say.
Really? You think people will change to the lower population faction so they can get ganked too?

Who can say what reasons people have about not switching factions, was what I was saying. With the right incentive faction loyalty doesnât exist, take retail BGâs where Horde can play Alliance and vice versa.
I bet if Blizzard were to offer a months free game time for X people to switch they would be snapped up quicker than tickets to see the Rolling Stones.
Some Horde have already posted they, and their friends, would be happy to switch to Alliance if they could get a faction transfer for their current level 60 characters. So itâs not beyond the realm of possibility others would move too.

no its not . It s horde racials are unbalanced
Some would change simply for the challenge but lets face it⌠path of least resistance and all that.
It is a good step tho to try first and see what happens. Least intrusive at the very least. Better to give it a try and it fail (meaning nothing was changed), than not try coz it may not work.

Beefchampion. listen to me. I am playing on same server as ally. I have 60 char and i log only for raids. I just hate this situation. BGs wont fix nothing, its just 2 many horde on server and there will always be some grps to gank wpvp.
Blizzard will open paid transfers till new year. Remember my words. Or they gonna loose 2 many subs.
Yeah pretty much I also believe they canât ignore the issue at Shazzrah for any longer. Just right now there are more horde players in Stormwind gryphon roost than there are alliance players here in total, let alone mentioning places like Menethil, BRM or Lightâs Hope. Guilds are loosing members and canât find new members and levelers to replace them so they are disbanding and merging together. AH numbers have already dropped all time lows and keep dropping, you canât see more than a handful of people adverting for dungeons in a whole day etc. etc. Iâm inclined to believe thereâs going to be some intervention here somehow after BG release, somethingâs gotta give.

how is alliance transferring AWAY From shazzrah going to solve the faction imbalance?

it wont. but blizzar will get money with paid transf. and players that transfered will be happy. For the horde will be almost the same bc. i dont think all alliance comunity gonna use pay transfer.
Yupp, you are totally right, and all of us alliance just want blizzard to let us transfer our toons to a PvE server. But they wont let us.
I dont like the situtation at shazzrah as a horde too but try to make premades like banish and karma. They doing fine at wpvp if you ask me. Also if they open transfer to ZT to shazzrah ally only, I think this will help you guys⌠but also plz try to teach that allys at sitting at IF few tricks of pvp. they dont like pvp but playing at pvp server⌠I even face too many ally raids have more number than us but they still trying def or flee⌠If they counterttack, they can wipe us ez but instead they just fall back and flee for getting killed 1 by 1 
A free transfer to zt ally is never going to happen.
