Because it’s my opinion. You’ve just lied saying I’m entitled to my opinion, yet you question me and make me look small because I like stuff you don’t.
I don’t want “perfect” nor do I want crazed monsters running around like idiots, making the Blood Elves look completely out of character.
Why do you want crazed monsters who would make the Blood Elves look completely out of character, which in essence, adds more fuel to the Blood Elf fanbase losing Quel’Thalas and it going to the Alliance because the Elves are now crazed animals who need controlling?
In TBC the blood elves used to be very crazy indeed. Back before they retconed the fel magic thing in chronicles.
But you need to see the bigger picture. We might lose Quel’thalas. But we gain Ashenvale. Literally the most fertile and lush place in all of Kalimdor. That land would be perfect to built a new capital city.
You can have your opinion of course. I am not fighting you.
Night Elves in Quel’Thalas and Blood Elves in Ashenvale is just weird (because that is what Blizzard would do.)
I’m a Blood Elf fan, before I’m a Horde fan. Blood Elves are Quel’Thalas and Quel’Thalas is the Blood Elves.
Just like Night Elves should be in North West Kalimdor. Hyjal, Winterspring, Darkshore…Ashenvale will always be contested, but the other 3, or at least Hyjal and Winterspring, should be given to the Elves.
No, the Sunfury who remained with Kael’thas were crazy.
The Silvermoon Elves, who joined the Horde had no scope on what Kael’thas was doing until they reached Outland.
Then it hit home when Kael and the Felbloods attacked Silvermoon.
EDIT: What your doing is trying to confirm what Kalibas said 2 years ago. That Horde Blood Elves should be like the Legion-serving, Highborne of Azshara. Crazed, but this time - homeless. I fought him on that generalization about the Blood Elves as I presumed I was doing a good deed for the Blood Elf fanbase. Was I wrong and should I have said, “yes Kalibas, your right.”
If we lose Quel’thalas, then we need 3 regions (Eversong, Ghostlands, Quel’danas) in Kalimdor, not just one. And I’m pretty sure Ashenvale would be taken over completely by the Orcs and Goblins, they want all the wood there anyway…
Pretty sure we would just be moved to Suramar, and the Nightborne would help the Blood Elves with the addiction if they lose the Sunwell…but as much as I like the Nightborne, it’s still preposterous that a main race (the Blood Elves) would need to stay in the Capital and zones of an allied race like guests like that for a long time…
Blood Elves could claim Azsuna, but it’s not ideal considering we’ve already had two major races lose their homes.
I don’t think Blizzard are going to do anything like that again. The only things they will be doing is putting the Forsaken and Night Elves in their rightful homes. Remember - the Winter Queen’s seed is being taken to the Dragon Isles for safekeeping…not where it will take root. Tyrande confirms this.
It is easier for Blizzard to implement fully new things then to revamp the old stuff. The Draenei isles and Quel’thalas was fully untouched during Catclysm. And I doubt it will get a rework done any time soon.
The hell does that have to do with anything? Outside of the arogance point that’s at best speculation driven by media owned by his opposing rivals and people touting it can never support the claim with things he actually did or said.
Let’s just stick to calling Erevien a very opinionated German of known biases.
The key problem with Lor’themar is not Lor’themar, but the stuff that happens around him or he is inserted into. Blelves have been left dead in the water since TBC ended their story, witht he only other things happening being Jaina’s rampage in Dalaran and befriending the Nightborne. So Blizzard has Lor’themar go alongside Jaina and kill the survivors of her rampage… sod off game
Blizzard ignored the blood elf lore for the past 15 years. After the Sunwell was cleansed by Velen all attention from Blizzard went straight to th Draenei. Without a leader like Kael’thas the blood elves are just a lost plot point. Look at Velen. Look at Jaina. These are 2 characters who aren’t defined by a single event. Bob however rotates around other characters since he has no use for Blizzard when it comes to the actual meaty parts of the lore. In Nazjatar he only existed to have a mirror characters for Jaina. Worse even we were forced to fight a Sunreaver who survived Jaina’s crazy rampage in Dalaran. The bottom line of Blizzard here is basically if you are not part of the Anduin and Jaina friendship group then you are wrong by default. Which is why it sucked to be part of the Horde in Bfa. The Horde was losing yet another lore character which the community deeply cared about while the alliance gained a whole new fresh cast of supporting characters they haven’t had to fear of losing because they are the protagonists. Just look how Jaina arrived in Lordaeron on her flying boat. THAT is what gives any player faction pride. Not the suicide attack on Sylvanas Saurfang pulled. Nobody felt pride during that. Unless you are a deranged Horde fan who takes their pride from being a sidekick to the main cast. I feel like this was the kind of people Blizzard tried to attract here. The zuggers,
Sorry for the rant but I needed to get this off my chest.
Have you ever considered that both armies of the Alliance and Horde are basically in shambles at the moment? They lost countless soldiers during the legion invasion and were in a pretty bad state when the fourth war started. Even Anduin acknowledged that fact in a cutscene in BFA where he said something like:“Is that all that remained?” before the N’Zoth arc. This isn’t Warhammer 40000 where the powerfull factions basically all have an infinite amount of resources and reinforcements due to a galaxy scale empire. The planet itself took hefty injuries and it required some serious sacrifices to ease that pain. I get it that you like the concept of “endless war”, I also like stories like that when they are told well and reasonable and understandable. But that’s just not the case at the moment.
Anduin sent an entire battalion to Arathi to investigate. Meanwhile both Horde and Zandalari each could barley muster even 100 soldiers. It is quite obvious that the alliance overall took less damage since the main centres which they draw their soldiers from(Ironforge and Stormwind) largley remained unharmed. This story is not equal. It favors the alliance. From leadership power to resources the list is long. And I will not stop fighting against it until Blizzard changes their ways and gives the alliance some defeats which actually hurts them. Just like the Horde did post patch 8.1 and onward.
“Can never claim or support it with things”?
With Trump, you just have to listen to him, you don’t even need to alter or cut anything.
With Erevien, it’s simliar. Just read his posts (or watch his videos).
Both often ignore important details, spin their own narrative by lying, both love to regurgitate their own opinion (or in that case, posts and threads), both call other people “liars”, “filth” or “scum” - and then complain about being “bullied” when people are just… fed up with it. In both cases, there is no lack of evidence.
Want proof for the parallels? Just search for “erevien make great again”.
If you’re willing to search and and sort the few “arguments” out of his ramblings, by all means, be my guest. But even then, the chances that they were already disproven or at least discussed ten times are high.
Yeah, you’ve really never said that before, that must have been a relief
Both Warcraft and all Warhammer franchises suffer from having exactly as many resources as the plot currently requires. Especially the Night Elves.
What you said are rather specific claims. He based his brand around not acting like a career polititian and speaking his mind. Yes, he did call news outlets out for telling lies about him and trying to spin everything about him into a hit piece, but that’s about it. All polititians twist the truth that’s part of the gig.
I’m quite familiar, with Erevien’s MO. He is opinionated and likes to write in catchy taglines, which can make actual discussion tiresome and difficult. I’ve spent years on MMO-C forums, where that kind of people are the norm, in all kinds of directions. When they present something worth discussing it’s discussed, when they don’t it’s not worth the time of day.
The only thing that you could argue in his favor ist that wasn’t well educated and didn’t even know the most basic things. The city Belgium, raking in the forest, Russia being in Crimea, etc.
But he’s not the point, his MO is. Erevien plays a lot of hits from his Trump’s playbook.
“Opinionated” is an understatement, he’s self-opinionated and doesn’t even try to differentiate between fact and opinion, that’s what makes discussions about facts with him almost impossible. That’s because he doesn’t want discussions or conversations, it’s all about being noticed.
The thing is: Of course, you should discuss things that are worthy of a discussion. Maybe you discuss it twice, maybe three or four times… But when you see the 100th “Alliance Bias!”-thread with the same BS he already wrote 99 times before… when you see that he still (and unfortunately, often successfull) tries to derail other topics with “hurr durr i will raid blizzard!!!” , you start to ask yourself, why Blizzard is so soft on his disruptive behaviour.
I don’t know how many times you’ve experienced his BS bingo, but in the german forums, we tried everything. Factual discussions, empathy, logic, ignoring him, agreements (which of course, he didn’t keep)… and at some point, when Blizzard didn’t interfere fast enough, you start to “troll back” by making parody accounts, point out the flaws in his preposterous “argumentation” and show people who he is, before they even engage in his one-man show.
You could do that to literally any polititian. The only thing setting Trump apart is that there are hit pieces about it.
Both sides of the bias discussion have valid reasons for seeing the greener grass on the other side. Thing is that Aliance’s losses are always either a huge sacrifice or easily recoverable, with some plot contrivances. Where the Horde Ls are damning character assassinations(sometimes literal), witht heir thematic integrity and unique aspects being watered down, neutered and overall removed.
The game devolving into humans and friends is a problem both sides face, but for the Horde which is supposed to be very distinct and polar opposite it’s extremely damning.
Frame it as you wish, Trump is not like any politician. He was the guy that showed the far-right what you can get away with in a democracy. He moved the bar and made radical nationalism more “common”. Promoting far right nationalism, calling people with … questionable far right-ideology “fine people”, pardoning all his friends without shame, even unwilling to accept his loss in an election… of course, every politician happens to make a controversial statement from time to time, but… not on this level and in this frequence. Trying to “normalize” behaviour like this is part of the problem and one reason why humanity slowly regresses.
Not that Erevien’s temper tantrums are even remotely on that level of importance or impact, but… they use the same methods.
That’s the thing - I don’t disagree with that sentiment, I even support it. But that’s where it falls apart: Erevien doesn’t want to convince players to support him or gain momentum in his demands (Believe me, I had him in discord for a while and tried to make him understand that the community’s support ist the best way to get noticed by Blizzard).
He wants Blizzard to comply to his demands and his demands alone, his “arguments” are pretenses - he even tried to “mask” his true agenda by giving topics different names (“Who would you have in YOUR Horde council? I’d like…”) from time to time, just to get back to the usual raging after a few posts in it - this way, it was less obvious for Mods. Only when they do what he wants, the Horde will be fine again, that’s his “prime directive”.
tl;dr
As a Horde and Alliance player that has endured his presence / “argumentation” for years, I feel obligated to point out to others that he’s just the court jester and neither equipped with new arguments nor with the ability to discuss open-minded. Saves them time and a loooot of nerves.
Let’s just agree to disagree and talk about the videogame, because we could likely go like this for a long time xD
Must have been the german forums, as i don’t remember him from the BfA days, while we still had some hope Blizzard could pull something decent out of the conflict, before 8.2.5… which kinda got me to take a step back from Retail content outside satisfying morbid curiosity.
