When will the alliance bias end

There’s a difference between debating about a video games with everybody on a forum and making an account dedicated to spite a specific individual in my opinion.

You would look less like an entitled troll for sure. To be clear, I’m not judging as a person since I don’t know you outside of that forum, but that’s the impression you give.

My take is the classic don’t feed the troll if they bother you.

People need to understand what many of the playerbase has been saying for years. Their is no Horde or Alliance bias…their are racial biases that Blizzard story devs force into the story.

One big thing, that Erevien pointed out, back when he would engage in discussion was Human bias and that the Dwarves and Night Elves should be toppling the Humans in terms of power. This is something that is an issue within the Alliance narrative and it needs to change because even I believe it is starting to bleed over into the Horde narrative now and the Horde narrative shouldn’t include Stormwind Humans…or if it does, then it serves as kill 15 Stormwind Human forces, just like the Horde quests did when the player reached Gilneas.

EDIT: Now some people might look at this and say “Dwarves? What…?” But need I remind you that it was Dwarven smiths who created and forged the Ashbringer.

I already told you, we tried that. If he would only troll with or in his own topics, it wouldn’t be a problem. But usually, he pushes his own threads or joins other threads to yell “Alliance bias!”, until someone starts to argue with him and the discussions steer far away from their original topic. It just doesn’t work.

What does “bias” even exactly mean in english? “Favoritism” ? Why do they use this weird word “bias” anyway?

Blizzard don’t really read topics on these forums (I think they barely read the ones in the US forum, but certainly not the lore section, even there) so they don’t care if someone is always screaming “Alliance bias” and if he’s right or not about it (he’s right about certain things for sure)… and so you could say, his mission is pointless…true, but your mission to stop him is pointless too… and he sometimes makes good points about the Horde or at least, he is good for a laugh…but nobody would really laugh at your counter-points about him anyway…

Thans true.
Ignoring him bring nothing, he will continue to flood the forum with fake information and his headcanon and some people might fall for this, the German firum had some already with the typical arguments gilneas attacked the forsaken first or the Draenei are responsible for the burning Legion and ect…

The best way to deal with those people is to bring the real facs and turn their arguments against them and boom ther whole Argumentation crumble.

In Germany we have a phase for this : “jemand den wind aus den Segeln nehmen” which roughly translated to “take the wind out if your sails”

Without his arguments he had nothing and you see his trye colours, his only last straw is the typical mimimi Alliance bis until he got suspended or vanished for a couple days because he again exposed he as an liar and know are cares about the lore, only his violent headcanon.

Sorry if I say this, but the German forum seems very…passionate, to say the least. And not just because of Erevien and you (Dohor) and Dontcarevien come here to stop him on the english forum anyway, so you are all a bit too passionate about the lore and story of WoW but you also are all making the german forum a bit chaotic I think.

I’m italian but the italian forum is perfect and calm. Now it’s almost empty but back then in the past when I was the main writer on the italian forum, I just had civil discussions and stories with italian Alliance players even if I am very pro-Blood Elves.

Same for the French forum, I think Nedra could confirm that it is good for discussion and not as chaotic as the German one I think. And as I said, it’s not just because of Erevien though…

the ashbringer was only powerful because of the naaru fragment that served as its core joe avarage the human smith could most likely have made a awesome sword out of that the alliance is and always have been a human institution so i dunno why your going on about Leíá it in fact it was created and only exist because of the horde as long as the horde exist the human bias will exist :stuck_out_tongue:

after all lets not forget that the scarlet crusade a bunch of humans created their own ashbringer in the form of a staff infact if the dreadlord did not purposely sabotage it being created it might have surpassed ashbringer

Basically yes.

I’m not saying the devs can’t have their own favorite characters, like Christie Golden for Jaina and Steve Danuser for Sylvanas and Tyrande (it’s pretty clear that with Sylvanas gone, he’s pushed for Tyrande to be in Dragonflight), but that’s not how you should create your stories. Your basically in this huge world, but the world revolves around their personal favorites - storytelling wise, it makes everything feel very small.

Guess what? Since he got banned, it’s pretty relaxed in the German story forum, too.
But go on, try to have a “civil discussion” and exchange arguments with him.

I guess at this point, it’s learning by doing.

It’s a fairly broad term for inclinations, prejudices and the like. It implies a sort of irrational emotional influence, when it’s being used to discredit arguments or actions.

It wouldn’t be a problem, if those characters got genuinely challenged and had some sort of personal growth, but that would necessitate the writers admitting the characters have flaws and the talent to figure out how to meaningfully overcome them. If you have a character, who is always right, always is the infallible moral center and everyone who dislikes him, disagrees with him or is otherwise opposed is automatically evil, because reasons then you can’t write a functional story.

There can be some passionate arguments but they’re rare and don’t last on the Lore section. People discuss lore facts and theories and even when there were more people posting on it than now, I never saw the kind of cyber bullying posts I see here every time I log in, everyday there’s a new diss against Erevien no matter if what he just said made sense or not and it’s kind of depressing.

Your weak leaders will perish and the flags of the Kaldorei shall fly once more on their rightfull land’s.

Newsflash genius. They already do. You took your lands back in patch 8.1. No need to be this agressive towards other players.
