Gilneas is no-mans-land and has been for a decade. Demons? Get outta here. The lore was that the Forsaken gassed the hell out of the Gilneans and after a stalemate between them and the night elves, they were forced out while the worgen fled to Kalimdor.
If we go back, the main issue would be seeing to the infected and deadened land, while bringing some belayed justice to the Forsaken who stayed.
But we all know why it’s gotta be something else, don’t we? Otherwise we couldn’t all sing kumbaya and pretend to be friends, could we? I hate it. I will never accept that crap writing.

I heared that few days ago, or read it. About some unwelcomed guests which might be demons. Reading on Wowhead now, it will be scarlets there, so I don’t know now anymore…

Nah Forsaken and Gilneas are best buddies foreverz now, forget the horrific genocidal war crimes that the forsaken have repeatedly committed over the past 15 years. We all love each other so so much, so we will be fighting NPC’s that we functionally wiped out 3 times in a row.

I am fine with the major factions not being in a war.
The horde and alliance are made up of so many different smaller factions now that it just does not make sense, that these new additions would want to risk their lives to fight an enemy they sometimes don’t even know.
And that minor factions that have no hatred for a minor faction on the other side, why would they want to massacre each other?
Like nightborne and night elves, they disagree on stuff but don’t hate each other.
They should focus more on minor faction conflicts.
Many of the battlegrounds are just minor factions fighting.
Silverwing night elves vs warsong orcs in WSG.
Forsaken defilers vs Arathor humans in AB.
Etc etc.
Now that the horde has no warchief and a counsil instead it does open up for some interesting story directions.
The goblins are drilling azeroth juice in moonglade? Night elves are naturally not happy, but tauren is probably not thrilled about it either.
Tauren might try to stop the goblin as well, maybe not directly fighting them but perhaps sabotaging their equipment etc.
This opens up options for horde races to pick a side which they would like to aid, join the goblins or aid the tauren in sabotage.
This could also make the faction reps more dynamic and impactful.
Just because you are part of the hordes should not mean you can go against someones morals and still be liked.
And alliance are not 100% on board with everything the minor factions are doing.
Night elves and Worgen want blood but are being held back by the high king.
Although night elves did ignore it and kinda went rogue.
We need more small scale conflicts, they are a lot more interesting to me and gives more important details about their lore.

The alliance have their old cast. Horde has new faces none cares about ever.

eh trolls are the biggest losers on azeroth they lost pretty much every single war they been in they should just be erased to stop their suffering of becoming more raid or dungeon fodder
