I had to recheck if I didn’t hallucinate this, but in the official article: In Development: Fractures in Time there was a mention of rogue changes in 10.1.5:
“More class balance and tuning is coming for mages, rogues, Holy Paladins, and more.”
Holy paladin and mages got reworks few weeks ago, is there anything at all coming for rogues next patch or was it postponed?
They changed grand melee, a lot didn’t like it, not because they didn’t like blizzard tuning the worse buffs to be better, but because they didn’t fix the problem with how it’s terrible to use blade flurry in st, and how it’s awful to use slice and dice.
Nobody knows, there has been a grand total of zero communication about anything Blizzard might do with Rogues, aside from a paltry change to Grand Melee that most don’t even like.
It was already a bad sign when the patch launched to PTR with full reworks already set for testing for every mentioned class except Rogue
To my knowledge or memory, rogue was very late in Shadowlands with getting its stuff then, wouldn’t be shocked if we have to wait till 10.2 for sufficient changes.
As far as I know given the information on the rogue Discord, the dev had something going on with his family and was not able to go to work, and that’s why this happened.
I do not know why Blizzard doesn’t have more than one person working for a class and spec but damn, maybe multiple people would step on eachother too much? I don’t know, maybe, but surely they can’t be bragging about having the most employees working on the game since 2004 and have something like the employee working on a class having to attend personal stuff affect their development this much.
Honestly, i don’t want them to touch rogue too much, especially outlaw. Maybe assassination.
They could improve roll the bones buffs, make the more boring ones a little more interesting, fix blade flurry awful feel in st, fix slice and dice, but that’s honestly about it.
I hope it will be a big revamp. The core abilities such as stealth or stun lock are useless now and not to our advantage. The class needs some better positioning and rethinking.
