Erm. I am aware that your may have little experience in actually making contacts an stuff so…pressing sign up for whatever run you see on the group finder is not where you go socializing. Try actually joining a guild or community before going into m+ then asking the lads and lasses “Hey guys. I got a +14 whatever key. Wanna come?”…well for starters at least.
If just sign up then obviously there won’t be any talking. Its the same as bank inspect. The guy will simply do his /inspect and then either /invite X or /inspect the next target. He is obviously not looking for somebody to talk about the weather there in the bank…
My biggest issue is the lack of RPG and open world.
Now it’s literally COORPG with empty open world.
I wish they gave us more open world stuff. It’s all about reputation and world quests now.
Can’t even farm materials anymore due to multiboxers who ruined economy entirely it’s a disaster…
Thanks, I had my share of experiences with guilds and building raid groups manually. PUGing in about the same; you just are less “picky” with what kind of people you are grouped with - larger pool of players, more opportunities to meet new people and more time to actually play the game.
The lack of automatized solo queues just reduces my chances to come in touch with people, that’s my point of view. I don’t care if those people are in the same guild or community with me, it’s enough that they play the same game.
Not every class has res. But yeah agree i played gw2 a lot on release and people were literaly dying while trying to res you . I think you got exp for it.
so…u think that “utility” means whoever does raid buff? LOL.
when all dps classes can almost do the same regarding CC & the and all of them can AOE, that’s killed the “unique” feature in picking a class for a practical reason, cus in the end? no matter what you pick? it Will have the same utility everyone else have (something to block damage, self heal, CC(interrupt/slow…etc), everyone have almost everything & even all classes can almost do same dps.
Anyway
This game just feels like a solo arcade game with a dress up options.
for that? many players went to play the old wow(classic) & soon (classictbc), that’s a game where you can feel that you’re playing MMORPG.
Rogues dont bring anything noteworthy to the table. Thats how it is.
Yes everyone can AoE or do CC. However not at the same level. Especially when it comes to damage.
And thats simply put a false statement.
Aha. Sure.
They played it to feed their nostalgia, playing it for the first time, playing something on the sides because one is done til next week or even tier/patch on retail or simply not in the mood to play retail atm etc given there are no additional fees to play it while having a running sub or simply because they dont like the current patches which is not surprising for nyalotha or shadowlands atm to some extent.
Also feeling if one is a part or not is solely the communities responsibility. Unless you want to discuss sharding in this regard. Well, servers can only handle world bosses again because of no corruptions. Thats kinda void however if you have instead 200+ people running around in a zone.
WoW turned into HUB MMO due to the bad influence of casual players and devs being greedy.
You can’t fix it
Depends on the tier. There were many tiers where guilds stacked rogues for their immunities. Also there were tiers they were brought for pure DPS. Not this tier though.
Ye commenting on the right now. In previous tiers it was obviously different up to the point where you infact wanted to stack rogues because of how broken they were. Be it either utility or damage.
1st you only talk as if wow is only PVE game
2nd even blizz said it, that their Subs got 2.5x more times when classic was released so it’s not about people who already was playing retail went to classic cus it share same sub.
3rd you can play retail and get a legendary + high item level(Not BIS) without talking to any other player
It doesnt get much better for you even if we include pvp. And my point stands that all of your points are utterly void when it comes to the pve aspect of the game.
Already covered that point.
Same goes for classic. Also you are overestimating the word “legendary”. Its simply put an orange item with a trinket effect pretty much. Legendaries stopped being legendary ages ago.
More thempark than player-made world.
And 40% of the playerbase is cut-off from the other half, save for griefing.
not because they was broken, heroic spine of deathwing for example (when HC raid was the version as mythic raids now) you had to stack sub Rogues while they wasn’t broken or best DPS…just to be able to nuke the tendon in time with 1 open, same for many other fights when Rogues can use Smokebomb in certain encounters or soak with COS, But now it never matters…CUS everyone have the same utility & mobility and you simply bring the BEST dps class that blizzard buffed.
Rogues dont bring anything to the table.
You need to learn what broken means. You can be average in general and still be utterly broken for certain encounters. Be it Desolate Host, Gul’Dan, Zul or Avatar of Sargeras amongst others. And in ToS alone rogues were highly demanded given state and as a consequence feint was nerfed drastically.
Also ye Smokebomb isnt a thing in pve anymore.
as i said this game is not about pve only when it comes to utility & Mobility.
and regarding difference between the past and now? in the past certain classes mattered for being unique in their utility, But now there is not much difference and you can bring anyone to do the job.
Yes. THAT is something we can discuss. Saying everyone has the same utility dps etc however is just plainly wrong.
Yes you can finish everything while ignoring the meta. That however was a case even back in the days. Some encounters still severely favor certain classes to be present in the very least. As the game always did. Same goes for PvP. You have the meta classes and the non metas. Both can achieve glad. One can afk his way through it more or less (emphasis on less) and the other has to sweat his way through it.
And in regards of unique stuff there are still the DH, the Monk the warrior the mage and the priest. Also not to mention healing specs.
ok cool, i don’t disagree with you.
but still i dislike how all healers now can heal without a single cast xD
only druids was able to do that in the past…now…every healer can do it.
not to mention blizz added to them all CC & they can dps in pvp ><
& away from DH/monk, sure some other class’s have some unique ability but i fail to see each class being totally unique from everyone else.
The current “meta” being World of To-Do List. Like I said people are too busy for the RPG (role playing game) part of MMORPG. It’s more a MMO (massive multi-player online) game with little to no interaction between characters that are too busy doing daily BS to keep their characters up to date.
Hanging out on discord is not playing WoW with your friends. You might as well Skype or Zoom them and then you might as well call it a MBM (modern boardroom meeting) and you can discuss “what do I have to do today in WoW to get anima, soul ash, grateful offerings, stygia, renown, reputation, a m+ chest, conduits, gear/transmog, queen’s consortium souls, stuff to sell on the AH for gold, etc etc etc…” So when do you have time to go and camp a rare with a friend and just talk to friend about their day or help some poor low iLevel with an elite that keeps killing him.
The fact that when you /wave at another character in-game and they start running away nervously says to me people are not use to other people communicating with them in-game.
The mmorpg part of wow is easily fixed with a simple surgical procedure.
- Remove flying mounts, flight points are oke
- Remove teleportation to dungeons in the lfg tool
- Increase the amount of experience required to level from 1-60 fivefold. (This is exactly how long it takes to level to 60 in OG vanilla on average)
- Make mobs hit hard and give mobs abilities such as poison, disease, stuns etc, decrease player mana faster, make them sit down to drink & eat. Respect that any good RPG doesn’t treat mobs as towelrags which should be group AoE’d down because they tick you for insignificant damage.
- Make gear garbage again, why can’t a priest get +agility on random green gear?
I’m not saying blue or epic gear should give +2 agi but you get what I’m saying, there has to be useless gear and the journey to the good stuff has to be respected, don’t just teleported into a dungeon slap a toy boss around and he poops out enough blues for you to gear up your toon with FULL BLUE GEAR within 10 random lfg queues, too low effort
Why don’t you just suggest “go play WoW Classic”?
