Hey guys
So, maybe a bit expected but I am struggling to farm gold as a healer. I do “invest” in some items and professions that might make a profit (I have skinning and leatherworking, preparing for the BWL cloaks) but getting the needed ingredients myself is usually not efficient, to say the least. I keep my gold in the 200 - 300 range and I do mostly dungeons to maintain some income. Can anyone share their experience of what is best for making the most gold/hour or gold/week, I am not in a hurry.
I’d probably do fishing, Winter squid won’t drop in price.
Find a warrior with mining and do some dm east jumpruns, or do lasher farm in dm east solo.
I’m too lazy to level professions so I just do dungeons and vendor any drops and sell lots of rune cloth. Most gold I’ve ever accumulated is about 800g, I spent 600g buying sash of mercy and hide of the wild, now saving up for epic mount.

I farm Lashers in Dire Maul East and have herbalism. I also farm Satyrs in felwood to get free demonic runes.
I don’t know about the winter’s squid price on my realm but I did some research about the Nightfin Soup and it turns out that 1h of fishing gives you roughly 30 nightfins that translates into 12 - 13 gold. That is usually the same as the money you get from dungeon runs.
That means I will have to level herbalism now. What is the gold/hour you usually make?
They are soulbound, unlike the Dark Runes from Scholo. So, this means you are just saving money by not buying them and not earning money.
I do lasher farms, jump runs, play the AH.
Also I’m levelling a mage lol

Someone in my Alts guild made about 50g just from leveling herb to 300, took him 2 days but I don’t know his /played yime. Grave moss goes for about 1.50g ish each on judgement last time I checked but I’m not sure on the higher level herbs
As a priest, level herbalism to 300 and then start doing DME Lasher farms. About 20g+ from vendored gray, white and greens + 30g+ from herbs, patterns, greens, rares, epics that you post on the AH.
As a priest, if you’ve got herbalism, I believe you can holy nova DME lashers and loot the herbs on the floor
Level dps alt, hunter mage warlock, sure you lose farming time while leveling but its so much smoother to farm whatever you want once leveled, if you plan on playing for year+
I made a mage just to simply farm ZF GY and was totally worth
As a moonglow resto i farm/aoe-farm satyrs in felwood for easy runes and vendor the loots and save the felcloth for AH later. Also there are some chest spawns there. And ofc the biggest income is herbalism. Silversage goes for 20-25G per stack, dreamfoil around 16-21.
Edit: herb+mining could be really powerful too
As priest you farm Mara for 50g/h as shadow or dire maul east with mining for 60g/h solo ofc.
Can also farm lasher packs as holy , quickly aoe them 5 times and watch movies/play alts for 30 min till dungeon reset ( I like it ).
Yesterday I did a DM East jump run and farmed some lashers. It was worth like 7-8 gold per run. I also brought a herbalist with me but we did not find any herbs to pick up. What do I need the herbalism for?
Herbs and ghost mushrooms. Check youtube, there are lots of vids.
Lasher farm in DM:East, with herbalism it’s easy >60g per hour
Couple of things that can add to your GPH while doing lashers, herbs do spawn down there though not always in same place, learn the location and check the book spawns for a chance to get the epic book and make sure to loot the pods, sometimes they spawn lashers or a gas cloud but other times they give rum tum tubers which you can cook into an end game intellect buffing food.

On my server I’ve made absolutely zero from skinning and very little from leatherworking.
Stacks of leather, on my server, typically sell for either less than vendor price, or for just a couple of silver over vendor price - though of course once auction fees are taken into account, the people selling it for that price actually end up losing money.
It’s difficult to imagine what goes through the minds of people who sell their merchandise at a loss, and actively lose money with each sale… but there seems to be scores of these people. I once tried buying out all the Rugged Leather on the AH and re-selling it, but the next day when I logged in, my mailbox were full of unsold leather, and people had literally put up around four pages of Rugged Leather selling for 10s less than vendor price.
You can’t compete with that level of weapon grade stupidity, so now I just leave them to it.
As for LW, very few people want to buy anything but devilsaur items. I occasionally have some luck with Cured Rugged Hide, but the long CD on the salt shaker makes this very hit and miss.
Fishing is the way to go. Get fishing that Winter Squid.
