I am genuinely wondering that question, where does Blizzard get their feedbacks? Is it from these forums? Wowhead comments? Other fan sites like mmo-champ? I know about PTR feedbacks but what about others?
I am asking this question because I feel like a lot of the present and past feedbacks, many of them widely accepted by the community were never taken into consideration.
Sorry if I sound entitled, I know Blizzard can do whatever they want with their game, it is their right but I still feel that the majority of those feedbacks like pvp/pve vendors, rpg items and other stuff were never really heard and this led to the bfa fiasco
I want to be positive, hope until I actually get to play and see for myself what they have prepared for us, if anything goes wrong, there’s no shortage of alternatives in the gaming industry
So you’re saying they removed pvp vendors because someone could not find them? That is a very poor excuse if they actually did that
They definitely don’t look at these forums otherwise we would have had a Class Change option, no GCD and Vulpera Druids.
Oh and those “Suggestion” tickets you send in in-game, those go nowhere. Probably the “Deleted Items” folder in what ever mailbox gets those tickets. Even better the “Submit” button actually just clears the textbox and closes the suggestion window. Have you ever had one message saying “thank you for your suggestion, we have received it”?
I get a feeling the feedback comes from some bunch of people who don’t play WoW or maybe the cleaners the clean offices or maybe the gardeners that tend the office gardens or just some random people that happen to walk past their building.
We will have to wait and see. They are going in the right direction with some of the changes, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t come up with some stupid ideas during the alpha/beta testing and ignore how everyone hates it. Everyone thought that warfronts and island expeditions will be amazing content and both of those are the worst content ever introduced to WoW. Azerite armor sounded good on paper and then it just became the “farm the same azerite traits on higher ilvl items (and AP, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to use them)” content.
There is no guarantee that Tower of the damned won’t be an utterly boring content after the 10th time that you have to do anyway otherwise you will be left behind. There is no guarantee that the covenant abilities will be balanced or that you won’t have to change covenants back and forth for best performance in raid and mythic+ dungeon. These are things that sound good on paper as well, but it can go in both directions. Either these will be something that will make people stay for 2 years or make people leave after 1 month.
pretty sure its common knowledge that the devs don’t read the eu forums they only sorta read the us forum but mostly if you want to get their attention you have to ask them on twitter is it not wonderful how a professional game company devs hide out on 3rd party applications like some sort of indi company
I honestly don’t know where to give my honest and constructive feedback, I feel like those aligned with me have given their feedbacks and they just got ignored, shadowlands will bring some very welcome changes but we will have to see if they turn out to be another mindless solo grind or a fun and engaging content.
Blizzard can bring this game back to its former glory but they have to listen to the players, not the shareholders (if they actually listened to us subs might increase and make shareholders happy too!)
There’s just plenty of feedback and people writing an entire novel about their personal experiences while playing WoW is just garbage and I hope no developer in their right mind goes trough these stories.
I dont know where they get their feedback i had assumed it was here but in reality i bet our feedback is stored in their special filing cabinet which is no doubt just the bin.
I laughed a bit here xD there’s plenty of good and constructive feedbacks on both here. fan websites and even youtubers who are very passionate about this game, I do hope they give them a look
Where do you learn what the community thinks about WoW? Where are the hot topics being discussed? Where do players debate and talk about the latest news? Where do players post their thoughts and opinions on upcoming changes?
Blizzard gets their feedback from those places too.
If you spend an hour on the forums and you realize that a lot of players are concerned about x, then someone at Blizzard has probably also spent an hour on the forums collecting feedback from the players who are concerned about x.
Whether Blizzard acts on the provided feedback, or does specifically what every single player desires them to do, that’s another matter entirely.
My biggest issue with the current feedback system is even if you do it through the game, you can’t see where this feedback stands especially for bugs, was it rejected? under review? accepted/fixed? etc… I mean, transparency is so important nowadays and I really wish it was a thing.
Feed back can be tough to gage, with a community as broad and divided as world of warcrafts and any MMO as a whole it can be too easy to listen to the loudest people amd miss out of the genuine feedback of what seems like more niche players, that being said blizzard seems to have learned alot from classic that there understanding of what there player base wants is drastically different from what they thought,
Hence the changes im eargerly looking forward to in shadowlands
For some reason I have a feeling that they don’t really take suggestions into consideration as well (those submitted in-game to say at least, even though when I talked to GM in-game once they claimed otherwise in a response of something like “Our devs read all the feedback, even if they may not answer.”)
I sent several cool suggestions before, like: Mount version of Goblin Glider with a metal chassis to name one example and plenty of others, wouldn’t at least one, like ONE make it to the game? I wouldn’t mind to have it even as a Store mount, rofl.
