Typically im playing SS as Holy Priest, living somewhere around ~1700. Was a bit bored and wanted to try some 2v2 or 3v3 arena and… WTF in LFG only like R1 multi ubergladiators, 100000XP, where is all regular players

Playing remix probably. Why would the casual PvPers stick around for a season that is a copy and paste of last season. If you got the elite sets from last season, there is 0 incentive for the average Joe to play.
I play every few months or so typically getting the Elite set then going to do other content. I usually only play 2s to gear or help somebody else gear and a lot of my battlenet is on remix or cata atm 
and as mentioned above theres no new elite set this season so im just gearing up a new character on Alliance lol
I havent got into a 2s or 3s groop in weeks, nobady wants me or nobady sign up
Waiting a bit and then just Q for SoloShuffle or Battleground Blitz, at last this pops sometimes

You shouldn’t give much credit about XP of other people, better look for someone who is close to a similar CR/MMR in the current season. The “glad XP” from most people is more often than not done in SL S2 or DF Shuffle S1.
Also playing a healer helps a lot with finding groups in LFG.

I learned about God of Wars. Im having a break 
They were all either one shotted into oblivion or CC chained until they rage quit.
The rest moved permanently to shuffle
Average Joe doesn’t enjoy playing arena which looks like starwars and thousands actions happening in 0.1. To win a game you should pre this, pre those, pre kite, pre stun every millisecond of the game. You need to press deff cds instinctively, which means you should react on weakaura sound and gladiatorlossa, average Joe doesn’t want to install too much addons and setup all of it
Look at old arena, before legion, no starwars effects and you can see arena clearly. Game is slow and give you time to think. Barely need addons and nasa weakaura setup. Even if you don’t play classic, you can open stream and understand everything what is happening in arena. That what average Joe enjoy

My inner Joe got very satisfied reading the second paragraph.
I think theres multiple factors that plays a role in it. 2v2 is generally the slowest phased arena n best place to learn the basics but its also absurdly onesided where only a handful of specs are even playable.
3v3 is simularly extremely teamcomp based but ontop of that you also need alot of knowlege on what spec does what etc. Then we have LFG, the league of legends simulator of wow where you´ll find the bottomscrape of humanity. Giving the playerbase agency to control who even gets to play the gamemode was never the right approach in the first place.
Then we have the additional problems of R1 streamers playing alts at 1600 rating n alts in general which means the actual 1600 players are going to get farmed n due to the fairly small playerbase as a whole, this is going to happen far more frequently than what should be considered acceptable.
Then another big problem is that the dedicated 3s players dont want things to change, the only reason they want average joe back into 3v3 is to inflate the bracket and give them easier wins.
It can be compared to a mobile game, the whales only spend money to crush the people who dont spend, if all they ever play against is other whales spending simular or more amonts of money they dont enjoy it anymore.

Tbh this game is 20 yo, there are no new people anymore, rewards are easier and easier to get so more and more population Are able to find some abuse and get high cr/glads etc. So average joes who kept playing are now people with decent exp or already quit and wont be coming back.
No one wants to play a season where healers are gods and nothing ever dies

My brother how play mostly shooter gave wow last season a try for a view month too get into PvP and never played Wow bevor
He got a ton of question all the time, most basic stuff ever like why are my stun somethines short → dimish return
The game doesnt explain anythink
He was playing DH and was finding his buttons and know what they where doing got stuff bindet, next step would be too learn other classes what they can do and how too counter stuff

Does an attack and dies from 50% before his GCD is ready again to use divine shield.
“nothing ever dies”, lmfao. Damage is just absurd. Dying from 50% because you just used a global and can’t press an immunity until next global shouldn’t even be possible to happen.

I suggest everyone to dodge this season. Every 2v2 3v3 match is lasting 10min+. Push 10 buttons to do dps and healer outheals your DMG by just pressing 1-2 button.

Its the worst season of DF*. Really no one likes slow, boring pvp where nothing dies. Majority of pvpers wants a fast paced pvp. Innermost you do know that, I do, and everyone else knows.
Can anyone tell me why this season have so low participation compared to SL S1? You dont need to use that much of your brain to come to the right conclusion.
Tell me how many arenas can a player do in 2 hours span? 10-15? Is everyone here aware that the less matches played the worse will deflation become? In SL S1 and S2 you could play 30-40 arenas in 2 hours which made it inflate. More matches played by general population = more inflation. Now I hope you all enjoy the dry PvP season.
