Why can’t I see my hit, crit, defense and other stats on my character pane. I strongly recall that you had to sort that yourself. Tbh I don’t need to see my spellpower on a warrior. But stats like hit and defense would be nice to see without a thirdparty addon. Is this something that was considered or just ignored/forgotten?

Defence is in the skills tab, crit is in the skill/spellbook (hover over the attack skill on the general tab). Hit chance I’m not sure, might not be there natively.
If you are a caster there is no such useful skills to see. You have to manually add up your spellpower and int and then find the formula for your lvl. Then you need to find the formula for your different dmg spells to find out how much they will improve your dmg.
get the CharacterStatsClassic AddOn, problem solved.
The universal answer to everything right? Just get an addon… Well I didn’t need an addon back then and shouldn’t now.

Yeah the Character Sheet is missing.
That shouldn’t be the case, and may get problematic down the line once people ar nearing the higher levels or otherwise have more choice in Gear.
As a sidenote: I do everybody looks really interesting in their hodgepodge of Gear, never used Inspect more in my life
