Edit: dwarven hunter engineers make more sense than elvish engineers.

Edit: Yep, I went Human Mage in Vanilla for the same reason. I always somehow considered the combinations from the intro movie to be “canon”. Dwarf Hunter, Human Mage, Nelf Druid, Tauren Shaman, Orc Warior, Undead Warlock. Gnomes and Trolls don’t exist 
Edit 2: Troll Rogue is there, you just can’t see her due to stealth. Gnomes were a mistake tho.
I wish TBC has #somechanges, would like a dwarf shaman
