Which game version will cataclysm be released on?

I´ll start playing cataclysm when it release, but I want to have a character ready.

I dont know which game version it will be released on, World of Warcraft Classic or World of Warcraft Lich King Classic?

Cataclysm will be a continuation of Wrath of the Lich King Classic realms.

‘World of Warcraft Classic’ refers to Classic Era, the realms permanently frozen on the vanilla 1.x version of the game.

Really, the game cannot jump from vanilla straight to the 3rd expansion.
