Hello. I am trying to pick a healer to play, but I would be interested to know which one can better solo grind at 60, for reputation, gold, materials, etc in their raid healing spec (not a jack of all trades hybrid build).
Edit: forgot to say, I play on pve server, so no world pvp.
Divine Favor heals + fast weapon with useful proc (such as brain hacker, lightning fast 2.1 (!!!) and dirt cheap) + seal and judgment of wisdom/light. You are unkillable. It’s damned slow though unless you’re grinding undeads of course
Paladins are good for AoEing low level instances. You can literally pull half the instance and aoe it down with consecration + seal of righteousness whilst easily healing any mobs that manage to hit you.
At high level you’ll have a tougher job, I’ve resigned myself to the fact that grinding at 60 as a holy pala is a chore, but if you have a buddy who doesn’t mind grinding with you then pala is a great choice.
What I don’t get is why people are scoffing at hybrid specs. Unless it’s for progression, which technically doesn’t apply to any of the content in Classic, then there’s little point in having a min-max spec.
I would say Druid. If you spec 0/30/21 you can do everything except boomkin very well. It is a strong healing spec and the feral part is plenty strong for both tanking/dpsing in dungeons as well as grinding as cat in the wild - pun intended!
Yes you can do it as a healer. The most important talent in my opinion, and there’s some disagreement on that but it really helps with AoE farming, is Blessing of Sacrifice. This way you can still heal every raid in the game, as you only really give up Holy Shock which is more of a PvP talent anyway.

Improved Righteous Fury is entirely optional, so if you dont plan on doing any tanking, you can instead just go for more armor, and get 2/3 improved hammer of justice.
This build will serve you well. I have a video showing it in action in Dire Maul on the lashers, which should be pretty good gold in Classic as well.
I dont know how to answer this. I just like efficiency a lot. When I do something, I want to be 100% prepared for it, even if its not required. Also, speccing for a specific thing, it makes it easier to perform on that role.
I know people say you can heal as shadow, or you can tank as fury etc. And I am sure you can do it, I just dont feel like it. I wanna play a role at its best, even if its not required.
@Holyfrog Thanks for the video and the build.Looks really nice.
Specs like this or the 30/21 fera/resto druid spec are what WoW Classic is all about.
There’s no surprise that shortly after dual specs became a thing that the whole talents system was scrapped, when you can switch between min-max specs at will there’s little point for most other talents in the talent tree.
I am not fan of dual spec though… But I am not fan of “jack of all trades, master of none” either. I like specializations, life long choices you stick to.
There is way way more ways to make money than just mob grind. Herb/fishing/alchemy is very lucrative and compatible with most pacifist healer builds. Plus druids can stealth farm here and there. Dungeon runs also provide income.
I’m leveling my druid targeting 0/30/21 (starting with the feral points) and so far it’s great. You don’t need healing talents for healing dungeons, just water and gear (and very early not even that), and when you start needing some extra “punch” Heart of the Wild is a massive boost until you get the rest of the talents from Restoration.
You can handle a single open world non elite mob in the open world. Plus many herbs are in sub 60 zones. You can farm ruins of alterac without any aggro.
As a deep resto I farmed greater nature prot potion recipe easy from 55 mobs
