Which server to pick?

Looking to start Classic once again, but would need to know which server to pick, doesn’t matter wether it’s horde or alliance populated.

Only Normal / PvE oriented servers, as I’m not interested in PvP.

Thanks in advance.

Is easy. All three EU English PvE servers are connected, so pick the one wher eyou can get the name you want

Are they evenly populized for both horde and alliance?

As all PvE: Ally heavy. my guess 4 ally to 1 hordie.

Play Alliance on Pyrewood Village, if the name is taken try Mirage raceway or Netherguard Keep.

Unless you are talking about Wrath then it’s a different kettle of fish.

better to play on pvp server even if u don`t wanna pvp since it has 50x higher population. Unless u enjoy single player.

According to IF.pro PvP has almost exactly double up: 97823 to 46588. And as PvPers are more horde, more raiding than PvE I suspect levelling experience to be much the same. Maybe bit better for Horde on PvP cluster, bir better for Ally on PvE cluster.

Pyrewood Village, Nethergarde Keep and Mirage Raceway share one Cluster
a couple of Guilds here Raid by Daily
always enough ppl in lfg Chat for group up while lvl progress
not that much bots so Farm any stuff is not that annoying as on PvP cluster
If you decide later to Que Bg‘s the Hk grind is not that ridiculous like on PvP cluster but you still will find ppl to Que
of course the PvP cluster got much more ppl but if you don’t want to Wpvp anyway you will miss nothing

Thanks for the replies.

As for PvP - I hate it, no way I’ll pick a pvp server at any cost.

I’ll try one of the three servers mentioned above.

Yeah… Never quite get why people flock to the pvp servers. They always end up lopsided making them effectively pve with the exception being greifers.

Well first you should know there is a growing way of playing classic wow, which is classic hardcore, where basically if you die you have to delete your character, and you have to play solo self found. To do so this community gather on unofficial wow servers. If you are not interested in this challenge, I strongly recommend that you avoid the servers that are identified as unofficial hardcore servers. Because on those servers, NO ONE will agree to group up with you in the open world (as it is forbidden by the hc ruleset), NO ONE will want to group up with you for dungeons (as you are allowed to do dungeons only with other certified hardcore players), and NO ONE will be interested to sell you or buy you anything and the auction house will be completely empty (as trading or using the AH is forbidden by the hardcore ruleset).

Soon blizz will be releasing official hardcore servers, so this will change, as the HC community will probably leave those servers. But still, if you are not interested in the hc challenge you should find out which servers are identified as hardcore servers and create your character on another server.

Just tell where the hardcore players play - Hydraxian Waterlords.

Better not play on firemaw. Just dont do it. I did an regreted, the amount of toxicity is insane from the alliance side. Better just wait for fresh

Sure fresh will have no toxicity at all.

without t3 its fine. The worst part about era is, that these full BIS people think they are good at pvp when they win with 4 spells vs blue geared 60s

I now understand what you mean. Someone had an idea about a permanent t3 server. Hopefully we’ll see something like that in the future.

That sounds interresting indeed

you will quit fresh too before reaching level 40

at last he will enjoy more then now

What do you mean by toxicity exactly? Ganking, GDKP, or something else?

Asking mostly because I want to come back to Era and trying to decide where to go? I want to try horde side and I was thinking about PvE, PvP clusters but atthe end I am tempted to join on the new project at ZT RPPVP, since that one seems like the real “fresh” experience because I am not sure how active is PvE cluster on Horde side.
