While blizzard sleeps, firemaw horde is being crashed with no survivors by a free transfer bug

That is the last thing world pvp-ers want lol.

ONCE- in 2008! And no, it did not begin as someting I did not want. As I also back then was on a PvE server, I had to mark myself for PvP and wilfully join the fracas, a free for all for lowbies only.
And this was ONCE!!! as opposed to the inumerable times before and after this where the gang of three or more jumped me, or that warrior just killed me ā€¦ It is NOT fun 99,99 % of the time.

I see - a little bit - what you mean, but wasting hours and hours on being ganked and corpserunning for ONE fun time ā€¦ thatā€™s a very bad tradeoff.

And Iā€™ve had innumerable just as enjoyful (or more) episodes in open world PvE and in dungeons.

EDIT:
That PvP incident was more like the experience of killing Omen in Moonglade, everyone could join in, everybody got killed now and again, noone was really OP and could just kill off all the rest. It did not really end with one faction killing the other, but with lots of LOL and KEK /wave and /salute, and then we left.

Edit:
All my other experiences with PvP has been of the ā€œget gankedā€ variety.

BGā€™s are about the match - and have an incentive to win. If i mess around, it hurts the team.

I enjoy PVP, win or lose. I enjoy the battle. itā€™s why Iā€™ll queue at trash rating on alts for arena, just to have fun. But my team-mates know that, and itā€™s something they agree to.

World PVP sits somewhere between ā€œneed to winā€ and ā€œJust for funā€ because it can be about fighting over resources that are intended to be scarce.

Iā€™m of the opinion that, until they solve the ā€œserverā€ issue, all people under max level should level on 1 server to keep it populated, then later move to a max level server, like the ones weā€™re on currently. That would help the integrity of the game at 1-69 without hurting it at 70

PvP realms have the best PvE guilds and biggest PvE player pools. Thatā€™s unfortunately just the way it is. Look up any top 100 on WCL in pretty much any metric and see what realms those players and guilds are from. Being in a world with gankers is a tax, a heavy price I have to pay to have access to all the good PvE guilds and PvE players that fill those guilds. I truly wish it was not so.

What would this help? a level 59 can kill me just as efficietly as a level 60, it might take him a couple of milisecs more - PvE servers are The solution to PvP for me, thank you very much. And I donā€™t like megaservers either.

Yep, me too. I used to PvP a lot years ago in various games, including WoW (I was on Defias Brotherhood RPPvP back then), but I eventually got fed up of the activity. Now in multiplayer focused games I just want to relax and help like-minded people out. Also, I donā€™t feel like engaging with the edgier and more hardcore communities on PvP servers (theyā€™re not bad necessarily, they just want different things than me, play the game in a different way and have a faster pace than I want to have). I see the value in PvP and all - itā€™s just not for me anymore.

Because i consider it my main. I could post on my equally geared, equally opinionated Shaman if you prefer?

meanwhile you could post on any TBCC char.

You sure about that? Last time I checked, the mentally retarded human and gnome players were getting so crushed outside their raids that they ran away from Gehennas and Golemagg which are now Horde.
Itā€™s also kind of funny how above 60% of the classic players play Horde, coincidence?
I wonder about your comments about poor Alliance losing every world pvp encounter even when they try to gank, kappa

I never said that, the horde can never attack one-on-one, they always gang up.

weā€™ve discussed the ratios. In europe its 53:47 H:A. Alliance players avoid PVP, which is why we have same-faction BGā€™s now, even though thereā€™s almost a 1:1 of players on each faction

Eh, I like messing around too. I found that World PvP objectives for capturing stuff are fun enough for me, the numbers, skill and gear levels vary, there isnā€™t really anything at stake as they are repeatable quests that they sooner or later complete, and if players get tired they can quit and go do something else, or call for actual back-up to get the objective done.

Itā€™s wonderful as they give an incentive for good gear and you want to do it, but youā€™re not stuck with it 24/7, but as they are repeatable, people would do them everyday at least once. Warmode sucked, but Legion did start these daily quests where you got arena points for killing players in an area, it was always full of people.

No doubt if the vendors from Halaa offered actual relevant gear, people would fight over it everyday, instead of just the tower swaps.

I honestly donā€™t recall if Wotlk has these zone objectives besides wintergrasp.

The truth is that adding flying mounts made world pvp death. I was looking forward getting back to wotlk for some kind of world pvp but it seems that there will not be any of it. All of the pvp oriented players just stay in the capitals and farm bgs/arenas. God, I would like a new nochange classic.

No, I donā€™t think so. Projection at its finest is what you are doing.

What have you discussed? That in PVP servers the Horde is always above 60%? Because PVP servers is what matter, not PVE. On PVE donā€™t even count, so that ratio is wrong

And yours is denial at itā€™s finest.

Funny, I feel the same about PvP players playing on PvP servers just for the pop rather than because of the WPvP - were they on a PvE server instead theyā€™d make the experience much better for us all (especially since most of those are Horde to begin with).

The level to which you fail to understand the relationship occurring between a DM and their players in an actual D&D campaign is astouding. Letā€™s just put it this way - D&D is not a competitive game, there is no ā€œversusā€ in a D&D game.

ā€œEveryone should be forced to play the way I want them to so I can have fun regardless of how they feel about itā€

This makes about as much sense as me wishing there were only PvE servers so people like you would vamoose in some other toxic hellhole.

No, I donā€™t think so. I think you are delusional

I know itā€™s childish but it takes one to know one.
