Who is the jailer?

Sylvanas’ actions in Battle for Azeroth were calculated to cause the most death possible. She partners with the mysterious Jailer in the Shadowlands.

I would say Helya.

Or Ner’zhul (less likely).

I mentioned this in a thread just above this one, but if I were to just wildly guess, I would say some entity connected to The Helm of Domination - perhaps one that long predates Ner’Zhul, and the helm was made to connect to it, as some kind of sneaky dreadlord plan all along. It may have been the real driving force behind the Lich Kings this while time.

Probably nobody that we know of. Also Helya was like a titan watcher, created for Azeroth, while the Jailor seems to be ancient even by shadowlands standards.

So it was Jaina all along?

The plot thinnens

neither. It’s really unlikely that the jailer is helya and even less likely for it to be ner’zhul who in the grand scheme of things, is a nobody. Just an orc given the power to control undead.

The jailer is new. He’s old. And he’s powerful enough to give sylvanas enough power to easily overpower the likes of bolvar lich king and one shot saurfang with a magic unlike anything we’ve seen on azeroth.

And usually when it comes to these levels of power, only one thing comes to mind. Titans.

Which is why my guess is that he’s the titan of death. The final titan that we’ve never seen or heard of and the titan that other titans hated and never speak of. The opposite of Eonar.

We know Helya gave Sylvanas her power right?

Also how would Sylvanas even find and strike a deal with this hidden death titan nobody speaks about?

The jailor “gave” her power, which was directly linked to the amount of death she would cause. She caused many over the war and got enough power to Beat Saurfang without a problem. She will cause even more deaths now with Nzoth and have enough power to defeat Bolvar. Also why didn’t she kill him…

Btw you can see the shade of Jailor he looks like Leoric from Diablo to be honest. Probably an original character with no design yet

helya gave sylvanas the jailers phone number

Helya is most likely just a messenger. Not the actual person sylvanas made a deal with. She also didn’t give sylvanas her powers. That power came from the jailer himself. I’m assuming it’s a he based on the appearance.

The jailer is another entity.

It could be the Loa of Death. I mean the silhouette looks like it could be Bwonsamdi

Unlikely.

Bwonsandi most likely resides in Ardenweald and that’s where his “boss” that he was mentioning when he lost Vol’Jin’s soul is.

The Jailer is above even that. By the looks of it the Arbiter might be the only one with powers parallel to the Jailer.

That’s not the impression I get. Looks like Leoric actually. It’s probably a new character.

They can do that as well… I guess we have to wait and see.

It’s Death. Simple as that. As old as the universe itself.

Bwonsamdi’s master, lots of theories out there regarding who he might be

gul’dan =)) or sargeras

I have no idea who that could be but I’m 100% sure that they’re just going to waste him in one patch like they do with every other character.

The Jailer was probably the one in the Helm of Domination, and Sylvanas breaking it meant it set him free.

He is ether Loa of death Muehzala… OR Titanic watcher like Odyin and others but made by Argus. Because the pantheon did something to Argus way way back in time and they are silent on that topic. So maybe Argus transfer his essence to Jailor to save himself from other titans, like titans did to save at least parts of them from Sargeras. We fought the shell of Argus back in Legion it wasn’t really him in full. And I think Argus made this pocket realm in the Shadowlands called the Maw.
