He had his ups and downs, he was a fierce ruler. King Varian couldn’t sleep at night knowing Garry across the pond could raid Stormwind at any moment. I really liked how his character developed over expansions, Garrosh is by far my favourite WoW character and he is what I envisioned a Horde Warchief would be. I did find his story closure in WoD to be a slap in the face, especially as it involved Thrall who I’m sure we’re all sick of by now. However, I’m glad he made an appearance in SL, and managed to go out in style and not get a silly redemption arc.
Probably can’t write his name without the forums thinking it’s mean. He’ll probably be given an inoffensive fruit name once the current batch of developers run across him though.
I liked Varian too, I think for me when they give them such great endings - so I guess I like the dead characters, not sure what that says about me though
Got his behind handed to him by trash. Trash that couldn’t even beat farmers in Westfall during the Legion invasion event. So he was less than a farmer.
Nah. They were both equally rubbish. GarrAsh and Varian at least have that in common, they got reduced to ash
It even made me feel bad about Orkus. Cataclysm had some really well-written stuff here and there, even made me feel bad for, and help, a murloc. And I really hate murlocs.
You won’t believe me I know but as soon as you linked yours I started to think, god what was that guy called with his dragon/drake lol, I had to look it up though as I couldn’t remember his name.
Wow has some great characters - I think it’s why I always come back to the game, I mean I’ve put two now, but then somebody links something and I go oh yeah they were awesome lol
Edit: I am not a lore buff, but the fact that some really good stories stick with those of us who are not so into the lore shows how good this game was.

I’ve always loved Gul’dan. Guess I’m some sort of psychopath? The whole scheming with Demons to get his fellow orcs to drink Fel blood was cool to me. Shame he dies all the time. He also has the best outfit in Wow, Including the movie.
