Seriously they were intended for holy palas but holy pala cannot really use them either because shield of rightous doesn’t work.
So clearly nobody can use it then?

Every Paladin spec gets Shield of the Righteous. It’s a flavour spell. I can’t use it because I have two handers as Ret.
I wasn’t excited when they brought it back.

it is not a flavor skill for holy paladin though…
they even have a talent for it in the spec tree to enhance SoR

Well it was a mistake in my opinion to give shields primary stats and have them on the same level as off hand frills but with armor and block. But alas that train has departed long ago.
wls also cannot wear a 2h int sword?
it is not about the armor that I lose, I cannot use one of my primary skills if i use a 2h weapon on holy pala
But if shields didn’t have int you’d be trading healing output for getting to use Shield of the Righteous. Which in my opinion is how it should be.
and which other class would have to do that?
holy pala dmg is already the worst and compromises your healing AND positioning
throwing a surging totem down and doing nothing else results in the same dps as sweating your behind off on hpal

Dont primary stats switch based on spec? That “2h int sword” could be a 2h str sword with stats switched due to spec. Lots of classes use a 2h str sword.

Indeed but it’s flavour for the whole class. So if you use a 2h as Healer or ofc as Ret then it’s of no use and you can just ignore it.
the point is that not a single spec can make use of int 2h swords, so why they are in the game, let alone on the loot table of hpals?
you see, it is not on the ret pal loot table, so it won’t waste your loot spot

Well u can use 2hand sword on holy paly now but it wont be worth it since shield is better and removing shield of righteous for holy is huge too 
you can also wear ilvl 1 gear and run into M+10, i don’t see your point?
the point is that a weapon which is specifically designed for Hpal does not function for hpal because not using SoR will result in you doing almost no dmg.
It is also clearly intented to use SoR as Hpal because you even have a talent that enhances SoR.
Now with TWW rsham faces a similar fate with Tidecallers guard BUT it is actually a choice not, it is not like they lose all power wearing an int staff while hpal loses basically 50% of its dmg using a 2h int weapon…
