One thing I am trying to get my head around is why are there so many players exploiting the game in ways that were never intended?
I am not talking about those that have used layering as this is new to Classic but those who are now exploiting all the little known bugs that were there in Vanilla to level quicker. I thought that the majority of the playerbase were here for the Classic experience™ and wanted to smell the roses whilst levelling etc.
Now I see people up in arms because they can no longer use an obviously bugged encounter to gain 10k+XP/Hour, which to me flies right in the face of what this experience is supposed to be about.
I know that levelling in Classic is tedious, it was tedious back in Vanilla too but we got through it for the most part without having to resort to these kinds of tactics for the most part.

people back then were infants so to speak when it cameto gaming. it was all 99% of the players could do was turn on their pc and log in before failing at moving out of fire. people didnt resort to anything because they knew nothing. top guilds etc hid their ‘secrets’ so only they would have an advantage. now everyone has access to that knowledge. #nochanges
Different players enjoy the game in different ways.
Some players enjoy questing, others enjoy AoE farming for quick XP.
Keeping both of the above as options to level keeps all players happy (well, most).
Removing/‘Fixing’ one option may force players to play the game they do not like, causing them to quit.
Questing/AoE farming BRD was an option to all players to do not just limited to a specific class.
Players like myself are buthurt because I can’t play the game the way I want, I personally find AoE farming fun. I want to be the best on classic, if something speeds that up then great but in no way is this an exploit. It was simply just another optional way to level, not forced, simply optional.

This is non-sense, sure, exploits went viral a lot slower back then, but people still exploited in vanilla as much as they could.
It’s one of the reasons the devs went for 1.12, by then most of these exploits had been fixed.
Most of the exploiting that’s been happening since launch is new to Classic, difference is Blizzard has been a lot less lenient rolling back gains and dishing out punishments, so no wonder everyone is exploiting left and right as long as they have a modicum of plausible deniability they didn’t know what they’re doing.
Maybe you spend too much time on this forum, but the actual amount of players that wanna play Classic for the “authentic Vanilla experience”, aka the #nochanges crowd, is an incredibly small minority.
Most people are tourists, private server players whove done this a hundred times before and people like me, who just want a little nostalgia trip without insisting on a 100% authentic experience.
Not everyone wants classic experience, some do and some dont
Some are just interested in gaining epics the easiest way just to pvp.
Some dont care about pvp and they want to enjoy mmo side.
Some enjoy pve.

Most people wanted to play vanilla. very few wanted the ‘vanilla experience’ of crashing every hour and playing with 10 fps.
Maybe because this majority isnt playing this game for x years…
Or maybe because those who exploit, dont think that vanilla is marathon not sprint as some say, and wanna hit 60 asap so they can get advantage. Phase 2 and honors are coming sooner than later, and now imagine, who is gona have harder times, those who are on 60 with gear, or those who are on 50+ still leveling…?
Still majority of people is leveling, and not quite close to 60 so w/e
Amazing how much people lie to get what they want isn’t it.
The majority have played Vanilla on private servers for years and know what they want.
Tbh leveling is the only thing thats fun in classic, looking forward to new abillities ect
I guess u missed Private servers, people fro mthere have been playing it for years and have obv come up with ways to smoth the lvling exp
how about you play the way you want it , slow boring questing for months and let others decide how they want to play the game.
in retail we cant do what we do in classic because the mobs there hit way harder and also the LFD tool gives more xp than farming mobs.I had a lot of fun in spell cleave groups while leveling and questing was a side thing when there were no groups avaible.
I don’t understand the idea that levelling is tedious, it’s ideal for our generations insanely large attention spans; compared to older generations we can pay attention to one thing for hours upon hours.
If you don’t enjoy that, you might be a baby boomer.

Do you have any statistics or how did you find out that there are so many players exploiting the game?
Just an example: on my server there are very few messages in global chats asking for layer or about aoe spamming. Overwhelming majority of messages are ordinary LFG/LFM.
Information now spreads fast, so it might look like the end of the world, while in reality only few tryhards are doing that.
You know some players like literally using cheats.
So because it’s their way to enjoy things (being beyond the rules) this should be allowed too?
let others decide how they want to play the game.
Would you say the same thing for bot users?
If not, why?
Cause thats basicly cheating, and most important, it will afect me too, because some1 who may not even be playing is leveling /farming/gearing/whatever faster than me…
Those who use “exploits” and all the “shortcuts” they basicly doesnt affect me, like yea they are getting advantage, but they actualy have to play, and since they are ahead of me, they have to be either better than me, or got more time to play, or both, so exoloits or no they will get ahead… Thats just my 2 cents
But if you use these metohds your not by any means the best. Your among the worst. People who use exxploits are not good they are subpar tryhards.
