Why are all PvE Players 225 while PvP players are 210 ish?

So there should be templates? I’m fine with that, but Legion has proven that Blizzard has no clue how to balance them properly, and how to make classes fun with stats (more haste etc.)

They should go back to WoD gearing

Not all of them, and I won’t call out any specific guilds but some of the guilds that went for world first or a good placement bought pvp boosts.
Also the only thing it proves is that players wanted 1 226 item from the boost, which was the ring.

If those “world first” raiders were actually good at the entire game and not just at raiding and playing the game for 16 hours a day, perhaps they wouldn’t complain that much?

If you have to have gear, we should go back to a system of pvp power and resilience, where pvp gear is effectively severely subpar for pvp and pve gear is severely subpar for pvp.

If not, a system where you get “x points” of secondary stats to distribute in a template that you can pick where they go into. Of course metas would form but they already do so whatever.

The core of the issue is that hardcore pvp players dislike being outgeared and outcompeted by raiders, while raiders dislike being made to pvp to have the optimal gear setup for the raid at any given time.

Pve gear has never been “severely subpar” in pvp. The bis pvp gear in resilience seasons for many classes is almost always a mix of pvp and pve gear. There is almost always something from pve that is busted in pvp.

Takes a bit longer to get the base items for PvP. At 1800 rating you can get ilvl 220 gear (after upgrades), but you’re limited by the amount of Conquest Points you can get.

Currently I think I can get a total of 4-5 items from PvP, which is great because it helps me get the stats I need.

WoD, MoP, Cata (with a few exceptions)

331 Million Gold spent by them. They have said it on Twitter and WoWhead.

Right but the few exceptions break classes (or just give a significant advantage) although WoD yeah, I’d like that gearing system back. It was nice and pretty quick to gear and just pvp.

This one is just, pvp is bis end of season but til then, you are almost always going to be behind.

331million in debt they had from memory 250-300million saved and ready to go.

But even if i am wrong that is a ton of money and is why you can not compare them.

People can be boosted in raids and dungeons too. That’s a really bad benchmark, and in fact pve boosting is way more prevalent, at least the legal kind where you actually play your character.

But go ahead and do it, just once, then come and talk about the difficulty. Don’t come talking about it when you haven’t even got close to it in your entire WoW playtime, not even once, because you definitely have no clue about what the difficulty is. Not even saying this season, but once in any season whenever.

MoP seasons 2 3 and 4, and WoD all expansion it was subpar in pvp.

Actually they all wanted a 226 or 233 weapon from their vault for mythic progression.

Which world first raider did complain though about gearing from PvP?

I don’t think anyone that is currently higher than 225 doesn’t have pvp gear in at least several slots.

Those pve players are that ilvl because they do high level raiding and pvp in addition to buying BoEs, thus they are higher ilvl. Players that only do raiding are lower ilvl and players that only do pvp are lower ilvl as well.

I agree that pvpers gear slower, but at least they can target specific pieces.

Yeah 300m ish for each guild spent. Think Max said they were making 10-15m in heroic carries a week back (id have to look it up but i know Echo were selling AOTC for 750k and they could carry 3-4 per raid)

Looking to your character and progres u Can be glad not sitting in questing LFR to complete WQ.

M+ boosts give you 210 from dungeons and 226 vault rewards. Heroic raiding is 213/220 max. Mythic raid boosting isn’t really happening yet (probably only first few bosses). People have been getting boosted in PvP for weeks now, it’s even on twitch and youtube :eyes:

So tell me again how getting 233 PvP gear is harder than from any PvE source…

It’s already happening. Not on a grand scale and it’s extremely expensive, but it’s happening. So yes, 233 pvp gear is harder than pve gear of any source. Again, go do it yourself at least once. I am seriously wasting my time talking to someone who doesn’t actually know what he’s talking about - and this is not something to make you feel bad or anything, it’s a fact: you never did it, you seriously have no scale to which to compare anything because you never did it; not just this season, you didn’t do it in any season, regardless how easy/hard that particular season might have been, you lack the basis to make this estimation.

My pvp gear is 220. What is this 233 pvp gear that everyone is swimming in?

You can get 233 weapons (see mine) from being 2400+ rated, and 1k rated players are losing their minds over it.

I think a prot pala could probably boost people in 2s to 2.4. I bet it would cost a fortune though to do so

We aren’t, you’re looking at people who do high lvl M+ or are in a guild that clears heroic/mythic raid.

… which is supposedly comparable to 2400 rating… nay, according to some lfr heroes on the forum 2400 is better, yet we have the same itemlevel as heroic raiders, not mythic raiders.
