Why are all PvE Players 225 while PvP players are 210 ish?

How can you be above 200? I’ve gotten all sinful pvp gear and upgraded it all as much as possible. To upgrade more I need renown… 22… which is next week…? So?

Getting a higher pvp rank gives you higher ilvl rewards and iirc lets you upgrade your gear further than 184 cap as unranked.

Yeah… Limit tank was sitting at ilvl 223 after first week of mythic raiding when they finished 10/10 the first time. He had shield and weapon ilvl 226 from pvp tho.

Currently Limit people are sitting at ilvl 227 with highest guy at 227.9 ~ 228

pretty far from your average m+ master or 2400 rated pvp-only-player.
I think its quite discouraging.

If you were in Ion’s position, you would be fired in 2 days.

It is easy to sense boosters in arena, when you start focusing on customer, booster guy panics right away and I’m like " :smirk:" got you.

My friend boosted someone, it is possible until 1.8, beyond that is deepwaters, it is a real challenge.

Your brain suits your profile, an Argent Dawn furry roleplayer…

Lastly, I am 1 week away from completing gearing and reaching 220+ via PvP. All I did related to PvE was first boss of Nathria on both heroic and normal, had to farm some m+ for 200 iLvL weapon until I get my 226. I lack only 2 trinkets, waist, cloak and chest slots now.

PvP gearing takes time but I like it better than constantly pugging m+ or raids.

Atleast i’m a nice guy. I am a Roleplayer A Furry and a proud citizen of Argent Dawn. You are an elitist jerk that looks down on people that are’’ different’’ You must have a sad sad life.

No idea what OP is talking about. M+ and raid drops are atrocious for the amount of time you have to invest to clear them. Arena players are running around with 220/226 ilvl gear right now because they can target the weaker parts of their gear with upgrades. Meanwhile you can spend a night or two raiding HC to get no drops, or if you’re lucky, drop a 213 piece in your legendary slot and give it away!

Give me a break.

if you think “all” pve players are 220+ then XD

Blizzard’s new philosophy of less loot to make it “meaningful” applies to PVE but not PVP.

i gotta agree that it is ridiculous that pve players dont get +itlv gear upgrades from anima. while pvpers get it .

Yup, and I am 207, was was told last night I am the 4th best geared in the guild. The best geared one is 210.

It is also ridiculous that pvp players have to wait 2 weeks to buy chest/head/shoulders/legs for conquest points, and gear upgrate costs a lot of honour points

Wow. And I have been lucky enough to rival the best geared in your guild, as all vault items thus far have been upgrades.

Had I PvPed I would have 3-4 more ilvl.

Boo. hoo.

separate PvP and PvE entirely at this point. Make PvP gear completely unusable in PvE, or rather. Make PvP gear completely useless anywhere else, as they always come and whine on the forums that PvEers destroy them in PvP due to gear difference, while said PvEers are high end players that participate in ALL content.

Completely ignorant to the fact that many PvE players are forced into PvP just as much as they are forced into PvE.

PvP should be no gear at all. PvE should be progressive, where gear matters a bit, that’s what they advocate, and should be the design.

iLvl 210 in PvP = ilvl 0, ilvl 280 in PvP = ilvl 0.

That’s what they want, and that’s what they should have.

Tell that to single player rpg freaks that yell about gear progression everywhere

Because for a PvE player, its not about the ilvl but the gear harmony in terms of stats. And some items simply are bis from pvp (fmage trinket for instance). One of the reasons (not the main reason) that I rerolled to bommy instead of my main mage is because I know I don’t have the skills to get the trinket upgrade. I might be able to get it to 207 if I push myself in the pug world because I don’t have any pvp friends.

For PvPers ilvl matter more because PvP is about surviving with your brain while PvE usually is about bursting down a boss before it goes kaboom.

PvPers don’t upgrade gear for anima, what are you on about.

PVE gear (the covenant set) can be upgraded for anima however. You sure you know what you’re on about?

Renown is totally separate from anima as renown can be earned from any activity in the game, including PvP. It’s basically a way of making people unable to “jump” straight to 197ilevel in pvp (contrary to what people here claim) without first working their renown (ie if they’re a new char they will need to do a healthy amount of BGs to hit the renown required for 197, something they cannot achieve in a single day likely unless they play for 12+ hours).

Fact remains PvPers have no random drops.
Consistent gearing sure looks OP and appetising to the guy who get sunlucky, but to the guy who gets three drops in a single night of a raid, they probably wonder what the fuss is about. So what if that guy can pick one item a week? I just got three in 3 hours.

Also people need to be careful about saying “you can pick the bis” - it’s not that clear cut at all. The items u can buy from the conquest vendor are restricted by your covenant choice. You get typically two alterations of most pieces (ie boots, weps etc) with different stat distributions which are entirely restricted by your covenant it seems. So as a holy pala, in pvp vers/crit is my preferred setup. I cannot buy a crit/vers weapon, nor legs, nor chest from PvP unless i swap covenants (which would require me to abandon my preferred PvP covenant and a good pvp covenant)

So yeah, it’s not literally a case of us being able to buy any gear we like. Some classes that have their best covenant for pvp has only the options of poor seconddaries on their weapons for example, so they’re encouraged to go into pve to get weapons with the stat setup they prefer.

The only exception to this is jewellry and cloaks which always have the the three different setups. People should take a look though. As a Venthyr paladin i can buy mastery/haste + vers weps, if I spec into Kyrian, I can buy crit/vers ones instead but I can’t buy a mastery one.

Gear progress is essential in a game. However - PvP it doesn’t work. Being outgeared isn’t fun. Imagine playing Dota 2, or CS:GO, knowing you’re good, but because some guy invested 100 more hours than you, he just deals more damage, and sustains damage better, having 25% more damage on all guns/abilities and 25% more HP.

pvpers get +itlv upgrades from currency that comes from activity they are doing

pvers dont get such oporunity - if they did theneven those measly 35 anima rewards owuldnt sting so badly .

yes i could have used different words but i assumed people who read this think abou what they read.
