Why are people so hot-headed about APES killing Ragnaros and Onyxia week 1?

It’s like the world is falling down all around them thinking classic is dead and there is no point to continuing this game.

‘‘Oh no, a team of 40 who have done the same raid for years killed it yet another time in a short amount of time! Pack your bags and ditch this dead game!’’

How does this affect you? Just enjoy the journey and have a good time. It was never a race to max level to raidlog. That’s for retail.

I’m only level 35. Taking my time doing professions, doing every dungeon in my level range, and having fun meeting strangers out in the world.

So just take your time, and don’t make this a bigger deal than it ever was.

They are in my server, and now are bored and are going to camp my l30. Thats how it affects me !

60’s are gonna camp lowbies regardless if it’s today or a year from now. Roll on a PvE server if it isn’t to your liking.

Yeah every hord on gehennas gonna learn now why APES weren’t particulary liked

Just retail fanboys waiting for an excuse to leave the game, it’s a blessing if anything.

People were told in advance which server APES were going to.
If you decided to roll the opposing faction on that server, that is your problem.
Deal with it, or reroll.

They already control zones and dungeon entrances and things. While people make jokes now on forums, but as experience of such behaviour on retail - then people start changing behaviour which means the faction balance will shift and unlike in private - where hordes couldn’t change servers (as there were no alternative to go to), on long term gehennas will be alliance favoured server, where people aiming for anything PvP related (i.e. ranks) will leave.

Its nothing to do of APE’s being mean or not - as after all they do what game allows them to do and not their fault on being as good/organised/experienced, but people on opposite side do not like pay their sub to be farmed at spawn point.

I actually had to bash myself over the head a bit as well, as my immediate thought was: “Oh no, now I have to get annihilated by these uber-geared Alliance players who’ll surely go nuts with PvP!”

And then I was like: “Oh wait, they’re not on my server, so they don’t matter to me at all. Huh.”

The community experience in Classic WoW is inevitably different than in Retail WoW. In Retail WoW I can bump into a guy from Method once in a while, because cross-servers are a thing.
In Classic WoW I will never ever run into anyone from Method, because they don’t play on my server. And neither does APES.
It’s a lot more about what happens on your own server, and less about what happens on a worldwide level.

Trolling is good on this one. Not every player plays pirated versions of the game.

How is that a troll?

Jealousy pure and simple, most the posts are people saying it’s unfair cause they are still 30. I.e they wish they had done it aswell.

I think the term mad because bad applies.

So you say that every classic player should have known what and who are people of pirated version of the game ? While me being on gehennas is absolutely right a failure that could have been avoided - it is my guild leaders fault as he played in pirated version of game and knew Apes, but that’s not post about me - are you saying every horde in gehennas should have known Ape ? As i said this is not about my guild. My guild got stupid lead who should have known it. But Gehennas horde is not just my guild.

And that’s why his post was trolling. Seriously you cannot blame people for not keeping track of non-official editions of game.

because they cheated. account sharing is prohibited by Blizzard, and since these teams get funded and sponsored they could rent whole hotels and bring 200 people sharing 40 accounts. Blizzard can’t ban them because it has no proof for that. since they use the same IP addresses all the time.
It’s all about money, there is no challenge in that.

Most people seem upset about the fact that it happened, I don’t think most people are aware of the account sharing.

Every raid will be cleared on day 1 of it’s release, it’s a 15 year old game and people have been playing it for years.

If you care about these kind of things, like streamers and world first racers, then yes, you could have put down 20 minutes of your time to do a quick research. You got no one but yourself to blame for putting yourself in that situation.

That’s the thing most people do not care about streamers nor world 1sts. We speak here about the normal player, who joined for classic when they heard about the classic. You may have heard of Apes before yesterday. I am certain majority of non-private players had not.

And you seemed you completely missed my point about the server itself and speak about something non relevant like world 1sts.

People probably thought it was going to be this big hard accomplishment that was going to make them feel good about themselves and now that has been diminished in their eyes because the game got “completed” in 4 days.

It will be people that never played vanilla listening to the crowd that it’s the “hardest game ever” etc for months on end leading up to classic.

actually i just asked this from my guild lead and this information of yours wrong. it was not known prior launch where they come as my guild lead did actively try to avoid them.

So there.
