People can play the game however they want or like. We are all different, maybe someone doesn’t like my way of playing, you can’t influence on it. Everything is allowed as long as you enjoy or have fun.
I am not huge fan of HR runs, so I just avoid them and join to the others. Right now there’s a lot of people, a lot of runs and things to do, just pick what fits to you or make your own groups.
I will just give you a hint. People are lazy and some arnt uset to look for people and dont know how to prevent ninjas from grabing stuff.

Why do we see this hr:s? Easy to answer …
Today we have for ex addons that tell others what gear you have, and if not having allmost bis you can´t join raids. You become forced to try get the best. Therefor ppl must hunt gears, and hunt and hunt.
If you done a dungeon several time, looking for that sweat piece but no luck … Honestly, what is wrong with keep on running with 1 item as Hr?
As someone mentioned, most ppl who play these classic versions are no longer youngster who have the same time to spend on a game as we once had. We use addons like atlas-loot who shows where to find those gears we wanna have, making a group with a Hr in hope to get that piece of shiet. What is the problem with that?
To claim ppl are un-social, lacking emotions, are mongers or behave like “their time is worth more then mine”, etc … That is really To Much ! haha
It´s just a game and we all trying to make the most fun of it, but we are also a great part of why it has become like this. When you raid you wanna do it with good ppl who also have good gears cause you don´t wanna carry anyone, then you would complain and kick that dude - “come back when you have better gears!”
And off that dude goes to hunt better gears, and start Hr:s to achieve that … LooL
are you insane edgies were 300-500 gold for FOREVER in p1-p4. Lotuses were 30-50g, and that’s with the old spawn rates. I remember both because i played undead warrior and stacked lotuses in the early phases.

this is the issue with HR groups
they’ve become the norm, and while they close the door to a high percentage of the playerbase, they also scoop important and limited roles from regular groups, making it that much harder “to make your own group”
basically it leads to harder times for dps players

And I also played a warrior, but I was a human so I didnt actually edgemasters.
Your price for edgies have no basis in reality at least not on the server I played on.
I clearly remember Edgemasters being several thousand gold on Alliance side Zandalar Tribe RP-PvP, to the point where if I saw them on a warrior I just assumed they are a gold buyer

HR is basically necessary for serious people to get pre-bis. If you want to make sure you get a item wihout running something 10-50 times you need to run it yourself and HR it. The person running it usually needs to bring something to the table if it’s solid tanking or healing - or finding Jed. I don’t know why people cry about it. The people that do cry should try to make groups and lead them over and over just to get someone random takign the item 5 times from them. It’s just low effort people crying because low effort has less likely to get what they are after. I think all my shared prebis has been HR with me tanking. Why would i want to share with a bunch of rogues and warriors.
I’ve been running UBRS for past 8 days, basically all my free time, over 30 runs to get Magister’s Robe for the T0.5 quest. Getting Jed ID, searching for a tank willing to come to a no HR run, vetting mages I invite whether they need it, letting everyone know I’m only after the robe from last boss. On the 8th day of constant UBRS it finally dropped. Only to be won by a lvl 58 priest because his chest was green and he “needed it for the stats”.
When I am done with this weeks honor grind and regain some will to live and run dungeons, you can bet your behind it will only be with robe hard reserved and last boss master looted. That priest single handedly created another (prolific) group maker and leader who will never again create a dungeon group without HR.
