Why are there so few world quests?

There seems to be a severe shortage of world quests in the game.

I can clear the map in an hour or so, and then practically nothing new for days? What’s up with that? Can the quests re-populate more quickly please? Give us content!!

It’s the new change with dragonflight. World quests pop up twice in a week with 3.5 days of time.

People with lack of self discipline complained that there are too many chores to be done, like wq’s were mandatory or something.

Play a different game, take a rest from wow, go outside, do something else other than nerd in 1 game.

Primal storms, events (dragonbane, soup, Trials, hunts), pvp, M+, raid… RP if you in to that
What else do you want? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

they changed it because people are incapable of telling themselves they do not need to do them all. people should be responsible for their own actions and not be babied by Blizzard.

Indeed. The flip side of which is in an open world game people shouldn’t need to be lead round by the nose to find stuff to do.

Good that WQ were taken out because that was Blizz “babying” people, right?

I’d like more world quests please. I don’t raid, I don’t pvp, and I don’t do M+. I do RP, but there’s only so much of that per week one can do for amusement.

You seem to have misread, Blizzard taking them away is doing that. People can make their own decisions. If there are more WQ to do great, you do not NEED to do them and if you feel you do and push aside other more important things to do that… that is on you.

So you don’t like the main concept this game offers. It’s like ordering a pizza and saying you don’t like any toppings and complain about dough being not good enough.

There are world quests in Shadowlands or Zandalari that refreshes constantly.

Yeah, and most of them were raid- or mythic-loggers, who won’t touch the WQs anyway now the raiding season has started…

I liked daily WQs, every day had some different tasks to do, but now i have an empty map until Saturday afternoon, diminishing returns (While understandable) makes repeating the hunting/cooking/siege events not really worthwhile anymore either.

This exactly.

Now Blizzard needs to limit M+ and raiding to two three-hour sessions a week as well, on the same logic.

Not having daily world quests would be fine if the activities of world quests were made into something like the hunt. That way youd be able to do them all day long if you wanted.

But right now the world activies are very limited.
You have the hunt which is great. But then what?

Endless grinding of elite mobs until 2 hours have gone by and the feast is finally up. So you can stand there and every minute or so be given a 5 second task to do?

The world is the most dull it has ever been.
Which is a shame because the zones are amazing and travelling around them is a lot of fun.

how is creating optional content babying ppl? then raids are also babying and mplus too.

great logic as usual

Unlike you to be so reductive.

Blizzard has spent years conditioning people into certain behaviours. Now they are undoing it.

Are people responsible for themselves? Absolutely.

Does the developer have a responsibility to protect people from themselves knowing that they’ve built in psychological hooks and other sneaky tricks to up engagement? I’d say so.

Thanks Klingon.

I’m finding it hard to get the point across with any nuance. A weakness in my exposition skills, I’m sure.

Nice to see you support the two three-hour sessions! :stuck_out_tongue:

Lack of arguments usually leads to namecalling.

I have arguments, you can see I used them with people I respect, like grainne. You’re getting the effort I think you deserve and if I’m honest its pity acknowledgement because you’re following me round like a puppy.

No you simply have no arguments to what I said because what you said makes zero sense.

I’m also not stalking you I just frequent these forums like you and when I see people say things that have no base I pick them apart with arguments.
Sometimes they have some of their own and we reach a common ground, but never with you because you have none.

Only weak insults.

Actually, they kind of wouldn’t, because you wouldn’t.

I like being able to log in at any hour, day or night, do 15 minutes to an hour, and feel I’ve made some progress. I do not want to spend 40 minutes waiting for Soup or a new hunt.

I’m not especially fond of mob-grinding, so I don’t find the Black Brothers or the Storms enjoyable, but they are available 24/7. But soon, when the gold rush ends, and everyone has their Renown and shinies, participation will fall off a cliff, and these are even less fun when there is nobody else around.

Without reliable daily content, things look pretty bleak.
