Why are Vrykul not playable yet?

While we have a vocal but minority fraction of the playerbase calling for a fifth flavour of playable elf (High Elf, which are actually playable in SL anyway, you got your damn blue eyes), we have a race here already with unique animations and armor designs and have more in-depth lore than some of the original playable races like Tauren and Gnomes.

Seriously, where are they? Who asked for Kul Tirans and Void Elves? Give us Vrykul, this is an actual race and not some intern’s afterthought. The work has already been done for them.

You have my vote. But only if they don’t walk like the sluggish ones you masquerade as in the Storm Peaks!

I’m almost sure you’ll get some lore boy coming along in a sec to give you some reason or other.

Because they are ugly and I really like my void elf thank you very much.

They can’t wear armour that the others wear, I think that’s the primary reason, kind of like Murlocs won’t be an allied race either, no armour.

You forgot to mention that they should be part of horde!

Nobody asked for Void Elves. Literally nobody. Link to me a source that asked for Void Elves before they became known as a thing.

They are a product of someone’s wet dream. Pulled from nowhere.

You can view Vrykul models in Wowhead model viewer and a majority of the gear fits on them. There are some issues with some helms, but that can be fixed. It’s better than Worgen.

They had the perfect chance to introduce them with the prepatch event. Now that the Scourge are free, some of them could join our factions.

Perfect timing to have some join the Forsaken ranks as well. They would make sense with that faction.

idk man when they were datamined before being announced at Blizzcon they were the race people were most excited about hearing about… Also they’re like one of the most popular Allied races too.

I seem to recall people were more excited about Nightborne, until they realized…these are not even remotely similar to the NPC Nightborne.

The Void Elves got the reaction of “why not just be High Elves?”.

Not gonna lie, this makes me a little sad

Well there is an actual vrykul with the Alliance now so that’s good for a start. They should really be playable.

I’d like it, but they seem too savage to be an alliance race, and I know how some people feel about human-like races in the Horde.

Let’s be honest when they are introduced and they only stand at the height of zandalaris people will be complaining.

One of their main feature is being really tall.

yep, they would be better off in a neutral 3rd faction, i mean the world threats that Alliance and Horde face would obviously affect all life on Azeroth but that would involve Blizz opening up the game a lot more which i sadly can’t see them doing…:frowning:
*edit…if they even need factions at all any more, i know a few people have mentioned it before, would be nice to see…

Take that away and they are literally just humans.

Pretty sure they view as other races too inferior for them to be worthy allies.
Also I don’t want them, have enough human like races in the game. They really aren’t that much different to kul tirans aside from being bigger and looking more angry.

Prolly cuz it will be the 3-rd human-like race… even if new animations and new look its still a human race

As opposed to 5 elf races? I don’t think people have an issue with Blizzard repeating themselves.

It’s a compromise for High elf fans, so in a way you are kinda correct but kinda incorrect too.

I agree with you on the Kul Tirans though… they could’ve easily given that body to regular humans. Like how Orcs have two bodies. Instead it became its own race.
