Void Elf are Blood Elf but we get them and it’s the same race
Even if you was right on High Elves = Blood Elves (you’re wrong), there is no problem to add another “Blood Elves” in the game so
Even Nightborn copy Blood Elves in their story, so We already have 3 Blood Elves, one more wouldn’t hurt
But High Elves aren’t Blood Elves, Because High Elves are the one keeping the original culture and surviving through the hunger when Blood Elves drains everything who is magic and didn’t care about consequences
Yes they are. They are exactly same race. Only difference Is their culture + there is only small amounth of them left which also excluds them from being playable. Also Blood elfs dranining magic Is no longer thing. They have functional sunwell. Its just isnt presented in the game. So culturaly they are back to being “high elfs”.
You don’t need every side story.
But all the important stuff needs to be in the game.
And if the game picks up something that is only been talked about in a book before we need to have a small quest line or a short cinematic hell even a few stay a while and listen would be good
Harronirs are featured in this expansion but they are becoming playable in the next one.
If same pattern is to be followed then Amani and Cringe Elves may become playable in the last titan.
Yeah, I have trouble buying anything you say. You were bragging on the US forums that you’ll delete the game if you don’t get your helfs. You didn’t get your helfs but here you are still. So yeah, hard for anyone to believe anything you say, including Blizzard.
Was it really not clear that my message “I’m going to delete Warcraft ” was written sarcastically? Can’t you really tell the difference between when someone is writing seriously and when they are being sarcastic?
I used to be REALLY into this debate a few years back before the introduction of Void Elves provided the answer Blizzard wished to give.
I felt Void Elves were a bit of a crap addition to the game, transparently added to placate the vocal minority who never shut up about Alliance High Elves when the intent of the developers was clearly that Blood Elves and High Elves were the same race and thus High Elves were playable, but at least they were a thalassian elf option for the Alliance.
I disagreed that Blizzard further gave into that same vocal minority by providing normal skin tones and hair colours to Void Elves so that some players could pretend to be High Elves, even if they still bleed purple, trigger void forms in combat and have a reverb voice, as I felt it was Blizzard taking that fairly crap addition and compromising their own story behind them. Still, I regard this at best as a player convenience, given that every Void Elf NPC to date has has had dusky blue skin tones.
But this continuing rage some seven years after Battle for Azeroth launched and introduced Void Elves is getting increasingly unedifying. Pretending ‘High Elves’ aren’t being featured in Midnight is ridiculous and is the worst example of Headcanon Absolutism I think exists in Warcraft.
I don’t know how often it can be repeated that Blood Elves ARE High Elves before the message sinks in. Once you accept that premise the devs have repeatedly reinforced as recently as yesterday during the VOD then the ‘mystery’ as to why High Elves aren’t featured is resolved. They ARE being featured.
They only aren’t being featured if you accept a premise that not only does nobody on the dev team appear to support, but which doesn’t make sense.
Hypothetical: If the Silver Covenant Elves renamed themselves Silver Elves, would you demand ‘High Elves’ be playable or change to asking for Silver Elves?
I’ve been saying that since velfs where added. The notion of a compromise does not exist to these people. They just think a compromise means they get everything they ever wanted just not at once.
But to be fair there are many many high elve fans that are super chill and want high elves to be done right by giving them there own identity and not just taking everything from the blood elves cause they know that will not net them any support but only rejection.
And honestly I would even understand if they made high elves there own thing and then say yes they aren’t blood elves and they don’t get Silvermoon but high elves get the right to always visit Silvermoon cause they are the same people but with differing views.
It’s not that high elves can’t participate in Silvermoon it’s just that they can’t take it away for themselvs
Yes, that was part of my prediction. First get a neutral Silvermoon, then demand it should go to the Alliance. They just reached a hitch in their plan, Silvermoon is not neutral, or rather not fully so. So it adds an extra step - get Silvermoon fully neutral before crying about how it should belong to the Alliance.
So Blizzard need to stop doing new races, let’s them do all customization
Everyone get compromise, Blizzard didn’t need to work as much as they should, since they’re just a small indie company with no budget
With this kind of arguments, Blizzard can do as little as possible for everything in their game
For example, I think M+ should get LFG, so people don’t complain anymore about it, and I think Mok’nathal don’t need to be an allied race too, Orc with customization will be enough
