It looks like the whole elven reunification hasn’t started when the story of midnight starts.
I think that will come later and then there is still room for the high elves allied races can come later as well.
Blizz could even go super lazy and make a couple of new customisations allow both void and blood elves to use all customisations andake a toggle that changes void or blood into high elve.
That would also hide the voice effects for the void elves ofcourse
Are you talking about Blood elves, since that was the core reason Blizzard gave Horde Blood elves to balance the player population. Also you are playing a Night elf which is also a pretty race. Were you talking about yourself also? So…who is the clown?
I have diffrent races that I play. Human, dwarf, orc, Draenai, all except Gnomes, mecha gnomes, Dracthyr, Pandarien and Earthen.
And yet she does not even know just like Ion that Alliance High elves do “exist” in the Alliance, always been there as those two always played on Horde side. Ion did not even know what Silver covenant back then when he made that remark years ago. The Alliance High elves are the ones that never left the Alliance, that never abandoned the Alliance when their High elf King ordered them to do so after the second war. They were recruited by Alleria when their king refused to engage in the Human war against the Old Horde. So she recruited Likemindend High elves to join her the fight with the Humans against the Horde. They choosed their friends over their homeland and they always fought for the Alliance and they are “still” fighting for the Alliance. They did not abandoned us, nore should we abandoned them…
And there is more High elves in the Alliance than Void elves as they were only 20 sorry 23 people and yet Void elves were made playable so the number is irrelevant now on making a playable race.
Have you look around old Silvermoon? There are Blood elves draining fel from the Fel crystals. right in the city. Even underground there are several Blood elves in a circle draining fel from fel crystals.
Sure there was some that drain mana from magical creature. Which is why some Blood elves were exiled as they did not accept Rommath technique that had he learned from Illidan as they swore an oath to protect the Magical creatures in Quel’thalas which forced Lor’themar to exile Blood elves to prevent a “civil war”. And as those Blood elves had nowhere else to go, they went to Human lands to seek help and also change their race name back to High elves.
Lol High elves are Blood elves but not all High elves are Blood elves Right?
Ooo me me Teacher
Well I wonder consider Lor’themar still have green eyes. He should’t, first he is a ranger and not a mage. Seconded in the Lore elves are most sensitive to the magic they use so he should either gotten his blue eyes back or gotten gold color because of the Sunwell as they should be cured of the fel corruption. Atleast those who were affected by the fel crystals radiation. But somehow he has not. Those that still have green eyes would be the warlocks as they still use fel.
Do you have any proof the elven reunification still exist? Just wondering. Since neither devs talked about elven reunification then it most likely its been scraped or never was going to happen.
Well I have lost hope so. High elves for Alliance and Amani trolls for Horde would be great but I don’t think it will happen. The North of Zul’amon and east of Quel’thalas Amani troll village Tor’watha. Payers seems to be able to go as there was a mail box there on the picture and also seems to be a Amani village in Haranirs home which looked friendly.
The problem is that any time we make a megathread of the High Elves, you (yes, you, the Horde playerbase, members of the Horde) always brigade that megathread and make jokes about Silvermoon and whatnot.
When all we want are just High Elves in the Alliance.
Because Stormwind, since Vanilla, has been a hub for High Elves NPCs.
No I ofcourse have no proof but they talked about it and they would be stupid to say something this important and then just drop it that would be a pr nightmare.
Most people expected the expansion to start with the reunification me too but when I think about it it’s much nicer if that reunification comes after we have actually seen the elves work together over the course of season one for example.
I’m a big hater of the game showing the outcome of story’s we don’t see in the game.
And I understand that you lost hope but the Amani are at least somewhat friendly since they need our help.
That is a base to work on. And high elves are really not a problem to incorporate.
Keep on holding your hope tight.
Maybe we get a surprise later in the xpac.
Even now I keep a very very time chunk of hope that we might get ethereals one day
He isn’t wrong, Garithos, a human commander, used Kael’Thas and his regiment of “High Elves” like cannon fodder against the Scourge, it is then that Kael’thas broke away from the alliance as a ‘renegade’ band of elves, eventually the Sunstrider army named themselves as Blood Elves as protest against their Alliance former overlords therefore declaring war between them, but Sin’dorei are still Quel’dorei in essence.
I will go in Terrokar Forest, to this place named Allerian Stronghold say hello to some Blood Elf wearing blue and silver, fighting for alliance
There is some High Elves who didn’t follow Kaelthas and who didn’t be named Blood Elves, and they refuse to consume living being and fel magic so they’ve been bannished, so they go to Alliance and Help them through many xpac
Not all high elves are blood elves by name but all blood elves are high elves. It’s only a social change, an idealogical change. Also belves haven’t been dealing in fel since the end of TBC.
Yeah heard from another trailer talking about the dungeons that another troll race have kidnapped some Amani and we are to go rescue them. So…yeah they could be setting them up for a Allied race at some point as some will be friendly in Midnight.
As for the High elves. If they said we be getting High elves later on we would calm down. Either getting their own city in Crystalsong forest or any other suggestion been made over the years. Or Alliance gets the New Dalaran at the old Dalaran crater the Kirin Tor been building since Cata. Then Alliance would have their own magical city that High elves and Humans mages share. (The old Dalaran that was destroyed in TWW that was Neutral at the time and we get a new one)
It is odd since High/Blood elves have always hated Trolls, joins a faction that has troll (YEs the Darkspears had nothing to do with it but the Hate should still be there) Then also the Forsaken is part of the Horde who also treated High/Blood elves like dirt becuase lordaeron humans saw themshelves as a superior race. Ofcourse nor all since Turalyon came from Lordaeron. But most Humans were like that in Lordaeron (Its why Garithos moved to Lordaeron from Stormwind as they were like him, wanted to rule over all other races). And then Blood elves teams up with the Horde. The orcs that killed the High/Blood elves in the second war, The lordaeron humans as the forsaken that treated the High/blood elves like dirt and…Trolls.
Also Why Garithos wanted Lordaeron so bad in Warcraft 3 was so he could proclaim himself as King so no one could ever rule over him and He would rule over all others. He just did not think that Sylvanas, that has been a Ranger-general longer than he had been alive. He got outsmarted by Sylvanas.
True but they “did” choose a darker path by learning all darker powers like Fel, Necromancer Blood magic until the Sunwell patch in TBC. Liandrin also tortured the Holy Naaru with the other Blood Knights. So they were becoming more and more “dark” elves than being Quel’dorai as that was the Original Idea for Blood elves back in TBC.
Oh, you mean like Kul Tirans, which, might I remind you, are considered a separate race from Stormwind Humans by the game, even though in the lore they are literally just normal humans from another nation?
And yes. I know Belves haven’t been sniffing Fel for years. But they are not going to be forgiven for turning into demonic crack addicts that one time.
Not really valid comparison? Look I dont agree on all the allied race choices Blizz has made, like the lightforged and maghar which could’ve just been a skin to save 2 slots for other actually different races. Kul tirans are at least, from a gameplay perspective a completely different model, has druids and different racial. I know they’re humans but eh what can you do.
The point is that people are just mad belves are horde, especially once they added blue eyes to the customization. If they were alliance, this would not be a conversation anymore.
The usual Hordie rhetoric we’ve been seeing for the past 20 years.
We’ve wanted High Elves in the Alliance long before Belves were given to the Horde out of pity because nobody played the ugly, monstrous faction.
In Vanilla, there were several High Elf NPCs aligned with the Alliance, in centres like Stormwind and Theramore.
In some cases, they even had their own Alliance-controlled hub, like the lodges in Loch Modan, the Hinterlands, and Eastern Plaguelands.
This was all long before Belves in the Horde were a thing.
And when Belves DID join the Horde (after Blizzard asspulled an entire Night Elf army somehow invading a land halfway across the world while the Warsongs are deforesting Ashenvale), Blizzard still added a new High Elf-exclusive hub with High Elf unique architecture in Outland.
And after that, Blizzard continued to build up the High Elves through the Silver Covenant and making the “official” rivals of the Blood Elves - Dalaran and the Argent Tournament in Wrath, Zul Aman in Cata, the Isle of Thunder and the Purge in MoP.
Meanwhile, how many people before BfA wanted Kul Tirans as a playable race?
Before BfA, the Kul Tirans were literally just normal humans, lol.
You’re right, this isn’t a valid comparison.
Because Kul Tirans did not deserve to be a separate race from Humans, while High Elves deserve to be a separate race from Blood Elves by virtue of their divergent history and ideology.
No High Elfs rename themself to Blood elfs to referencing both the blood of their many brethren who fell during the third war and their royal lineage.
Thats why you are not getting High Elfs becouse they are alredy in the game and playable. Its just lore boobs what live in delusion that High elfs are some different race.
