It’s really weird/unlike Blizz to do this. This is some Tera MMO type stuff, where they obviously don’t have same resources a big company like Blizz would have, so to save on animation/dev cost they only make 1x new race/class and they usually linked together etc.
I’ve played the Evoker for a few hours, a fair amount of customization etc, but it just feels weird. Every Dragon is an Evoker. Every Evoker is a Dragon. So not a single Dracthyr can be a Warrior?
Soar is fun and all, but in this era where we can teleport everywhere, its not really relevant. And they start at lvl 58 so you can’t even use it while leveling through Azeroth.

It’s a very little time to learn a new class… in M+ there are people who still suck at their class and they are playing it for years

I’ve read somewhere (reddit I think, but not sure) it was their attempt to create a “monster class” whatever that means. But ultimately, they probably ran out of time or money and went with just one class. On the other hand, Drakthyr don’t look like they were ever supposed to be a warrior, or any combat non caster class.
And Soar wasn’t ever meant to be used in Azeroth, it’s for the Dragon Isles. Drakthyr can Dragonride themselves, while other races and classes need a mount.

Make that 20,000 years. Not only have they not had the time to learn anything but what they were programmed to know, but they also don’t know how to dress themselves.
Shoulders and belts? What was the point in making them wear armour at all?

To me they feel like what I would expect a battle mage to play like. I really like the class.
Its always possible they open up the classes later down the line. Although much as I would love a hunter Drakthyr I think it would be weird for them to be classes that didnt have any magical abilities at all, like hunter, rogue or warrior.
I could def see a red/blue drakthyr as a mage though, black could be shaman, green priest, etc.
Why only elf’s can be demon hunter?

They need to sell the class. Using a unique race to do it means that even if the class itself turns out unpopular it will retain numbers from people stubbornly playing it for the race. Possibly also the other way around.
Why would a dragon “just” be a warrior though when they are inherently magical?
Nah I think I’ll make life more difficult because why not…

This here. Dracthyr are just player-dragons, and not Dragonkin or something like that. They are just humanoid cause 4 legged giant Dragons are too big for WoW.
Maybe he was one of Neltharions failed experiments?

Why the sky is not green?
Well having both the gift of a magical nature and combat nature im sure Dracthyr could be:
- mage
- priest
- warrior
- hunter
- rogue
The rest i have to think about how it fits.

Cause Titans when creating the world didnt get dank enough XD.Cant make the joke any more obvious because dont want to get flagged and deleted.
Could? Yes. Should? No. None of those classes breathe fire and ice, or sweep enemies away with their tails. You could say that breath weapons, wing and tail abilities should become racials instead of Evoker abilities, but then that presents a problem as you can no longer talent point them. And if you put the existing talents into other classes then you’re just making new classes i.e. dracthyr rogue/dracthyr warrior etc.

They learn other things as they venture along.
I guess still in this expansion dracthyr will become open to other classes.
And if not Dracthyr then another Draconids race.

Well was trying to agree with ya and help ya there but ye i agree none of those classes work with the racial abilities of Dracthyr.
So what would you suggest Blizzard does to fit your narrative?
There’s no “my narrative” at work here. Dracthyr have racial abilities that are baked into a class. The Evoker class have abilities that currently only make sense for dracthyr, those being breath attacks, flight and tail attacks. Those are facts, regardless of how we feel about them.

Because of electromagnetism. Sky is blue during the day because the particle/crystals of dew/water in the air are hit by the sun in a straight line, absorbing and reflecting the light aka radiation waves. The color you see is the one reflected by the particles, absorbing the other colors. You see red at night because from where you are the sun/radiation waves take longer to arrive to your eyes and they have to pass through more particles/crystals. It’s just a different inclination. Could be green under certain crystals in the air

I mean… There is “lore breaking for player experience”… And then there is “!!LORE BREAKING!! for player experience”
I can kind of see how you can argue for other races becoming DHs, this long after Legion since DHs are now part of the faction cultures…
But Evokers are literally able to use their powers, because of how they were created/bred… As in their “DNA” allow them to use those powers.
I think the best workaround here is to allow Evoker to become other races in their Visage form, and then allow us to choose to be in combat using our Visage form.
