Why can Vulpera and Mechagnomes be warlocks

So, why the hell can they be warlocks but zandalari cant?! what in the actual hell, can you just let anything be any class already it is a joke how arbitrary it is at this point.

Regarding Horde, many people have said “The Horde already has too many Blood Elves. We don’t need a reason/an excuse to see more.”
Personally, as an elf fan, I agree with that.

I mean at least Vulpera are somewhat original. The mechagnomes are such a terrible inclusion.

How many people play base gnomes already, 2% of the population?

How do some gnomes who have been locked underground for god knows how long know how to summon demons and crap, but a once global empire of Trolls doesn’t?!

FURTHERMORE, hasn’t one of the reasons they wouldn’t give us naga been “trousers dont work properly” THE MECHAGNOMES WEAR NO PANTS EITHER

Well, mecha gnomes were just regular gnomes before they switched body parts with robotic limbs. So it’s normal that they can be the same classes as normal ones.
Would be strange if you needed arms made of flesh and blood to summon demons.

I mean the amount of classes that can give sense for Mechagnomes is very limited. We do not know that much about them before they started to “upgrade” themselves.

The most “iconic” class would be Tinkerer, but that is not playable.

Edit: Anyway Warlocks just seems out of place.

Personally i question the ability of mechagnomes to be Monks more than Warlocks.

They must oil their rogues well so they don’t creak

It’s more, if they can be warlocks, the reason blizzard gave for zandalari not being able to makes 0 sense.

Well, they made the decission most likely only because of gameplay reasons, Zandalari would have too many classes available, I feel you, that sucks

Too many, too few…it’s just arbitrary. While i’m at it, why did we have to wait since WoD to get worgen skin update, which has like what 5 skin colours, 7 faces (for male) When blizzard can shoe-horn in a race that’s an offshoot of something 5% of the player base plays and give that 8 different slots to customise, with 15 skin colours, 16 “modifications”

I hate how arbitrary their design methodology is, no wonder people are always screaming “Bias”

I am just guessing, I have no problems with a race with all classes available, but it needs to give sense.

Zandalari Warlock and DK could be available, ask Blizz why they aren’t (ofc DKs weren’t added to any AR).

I think the question blizzard needs to ask themselves when picking is “Can they be this” rather than “should they be this” (they seem to randomly pick the question with each race / class)

Look at nightelves, they can literally be undead necromancers, but can’t be warlocks, nor can they be paladins (which have canonically exists since at least wrath)

They should either always apply the rule of lore OR always apply the rule of cool, they just randomly pick for each thing.

They literally overbuffed their racials to make them a race to “play” :joy:

Definitely, they should choose one and stick to it … so far it was 99 % for the lore reasons, so they should keep it that way.

With DKs, you do not choose to become one, so this does not count. There are only Highborne Night elves (specifically Shen’dralar) Warlocks, but we do not play as them. But paladins would fit them perfectly, even before Legion, because Moon priests undergo military training, they can use many kinds of weapons, so some of them are basically “Moon Paladins” for millenia!

this is deffo more 50/50…

didn’t choose to become one, but they got free-will, thus any self-respecting night elf would know they would be an aberration to the balance and would’ve ended themselves. If the lore can justify Night elves willingly existing as DK’s, it can justify them (Even the PC) being edgy enough to be a warlock, I mean…it’s not like Night elves have ever done anything that would corrupt them before…cough Satyr cough

Also, they can be mages since cata, because they decided to re-allow the highborne into their ranks, ergo the PC could reasonably be one of them, which would also include warlocks.

Sure, they say they pick it by lore…but it’s filled with so many lore holes where they have decided to use the rule of cool!

People seemed to fail to acknowledge that warlocks aren’t purely fel and demons. Completely ignoring the entire curse and hex themed spec as well as just ordinary fire magic…

God damn Vol’Dun is even filled with trolls using warlocks skills…

Well, I would not say that high, but it becomes a thing.

You know any of the DKs should end them anyway, so again their minds are twisted and not really clear after they got raised.

Satyrs are still only Highborne Night elves though and the thing is that they are not part of NE population, they are not accepted, as well as e.g. DHs.

Heroic classes are a bit of oddity anyway tbh.

Arcane magic is waaaay more acceptable than Fel, the reason why Night elves forbid the usage was because it attracts demons, but that argument and fear was no longer valid. One thing on top of this is if any of the Highborne that joined NE is actually even using Fel or if we killed all of them.

I try to ignore the really weird combos (well many players do not play as something like Forsaken Monk etc anyway) and I hope they won’t add any more, because once they do, they cannot remove it.

The source is Fel magic, even if they shape it and form fire, the source is what counts, sucking energies from living creatures is Fel.

Some Trolls use Fel, even Zandalari.

Shadow magic =/= fel magic.

And even more use shadow magic!

Warlocks aren’t accepted in any alliance races really e.g. humans, but they still can be them, they even hide it underground in stormwind!

Blizzards reasonings for what they do / don’t include are crap, frankly, regarding classes / races, i’m just disappointed by it all!

they should just do an ESO and let any race be any class.
