I’ve went all the way to Desolace to tame a scorpid to gain Claw. It does have the ability, but it’s not showing up in my Beast Training menu… and neither is Dash, which I’ve learnt earlier. They’re not showing up in my cat’s beast training menu. What am I doing wrong???
Cat’s CAN use both of these abilities BUT
- Each pet can only learn 4 abilities
- Skill won’t show until it has been used by the pet (so go and kill some stuff)
You learn the skill only after the new pet uses it quite a few times. It should say in the chat text when you learn it.
Also pets need to be the right level to learn it.
It took my night elf hunter 20 minutes of running around with a stupid spider attacking random mobs for me to learn Bite[2], give it some time
You have to be the right level to learn it, your pet has to be the right level to learn it later.
The beast you want to learn it from has to use the ability and you only have a chance learning it so it can take a while, if the ability is not used then order the beast to use it manually untill you learn it finally.
Some say standing close to the beast you want to learn the ability from when it uses it helps, some say feeding it helps too.
I like this old version of the hunter, going on adventures all over Azeroth to learn a skill so later you can teach it to your pet, it’s cool!
