That Riftwarden Acolyte NPC looks great. I want to look as great as she does when Shadowlands prepatch hits.
Void Elves will only receive some new eye colors and a few Blood Elf skin options in the pre-patch. You will need to wait for 9.1 or beyond before they can start their focus on Allied Races as they said the Core races will get new customization first.
To answer your question about the Black hair color: Yes, it’s in the database, but when you check it out on Model Viewer, the tentacles are bugged (but it works fine on other hairstyles that don’t have tentacles). So I suppose they will fix that eventually and even add some more new colors. You can see that the tentacles on that NPC are missing their texture.
Her robes looks like not loaded.
giving void elves the skin colours was a mistake.
Now people think they can ask for even more changes to them.
Allied races are at the back of the queue.
Although all seem to be getting new eyes which is nice.
The only difference there should be between blood and void elfs should be the dark skin tones for void elfs and the green eyes for blood elfs. The others options should be shared between both races.
No it isn’t. It’s blizzard finally fixing something that many people find boring. Adding those skin colors made me super happy. More customization in general when it comes to all races is always a good idea.
Also it was a big Alliance request for a long long long time.
This is what my Void elf will look like in Shadowlands and I love it!!!
I disagree with more hair colors added, especially blonde. You probably saw my comments in these forums disagreeing on this issue. But I don’t see why Black hair shouldn’t be added. As mentioned above, the NPC has it, and it matches to both the void theme and natural theme.
Did we need another thread for this? This could have gone into one of the already existing elf customisation threads.
I disagree with the change in general but I didn’t mean that when I said it was a mistake.
I meant that they skipped the queue. If Blizzard wanted to give them the options, it should have been done at the same time as the other allied races got updates given to them.
They wanted to give Blood elves blue eyes in Shadowlands. Let’s assume they didn’t announce that void elves would get anything, what do you think the reaction will be?
I don’t mean it in a rude way but I don’t really care about that.
People have been arguing and yelling about this stuff for years.
Void elves just got blue eyes and white skin but people still haven’t stopped.
I doubt much would have changed.
Plus as I said all allied races it seems are getting eye updates.
I have no issues with void elves getting the eyes right now.
Just the skin colours I feel is skipping the queue.
I would still hope they would give us that customization alongside other customization for all allied races in 9.1 and beyond.
Yeah. Most customisation threads are just about making us look more like high elves. As you can see in my screenshot, black hair looks based on the actual Void Elves as well.
I stopped. I’m very happy with what we are getting. As you can see from that YouTube link, I know exactly how my Void elf will look.
But…
You have to understand that people have different opinions, and it’s natural for the human being to always ask more.
I have no issues with you on that. Its a good stance to take.
They will thats true.
Its only really the high elf fans doing it though.
You don’t see threads going on and on every day about LF draenei or HM tauren.
You see some about NB but we can all agree they were seriously short changed.
You see more people going on about wanting more high elf stuff than you see people asking for core race stuff.
I dunno, it just feels very ungrateful to me.
Stuff got added to an allied race when allied races aren’t meant to be getting updates yet, and its still not enough.
I agree. To be honest I find these threads annoying myself.
I was just like them at one point. Arguing why blonde hair should be added. Then I realized the Blood elf side of the story and started to understand.
I don’t necessarily like the grey hair on my High elf skin, but I learned to compromise and accept what I have. And she Will look great.
If black hair is added, even better.
Sorry OP if this went off topic. To keep it on topic, yes black hair should be added as some of the NPC’s have it. It will look great on both Void skin and natural skin. We can’t have a Gothy Lady without black hair am I right?
True! Fair enough. That black would look super nice, I’m convinced that VE were supposed to get it in the first place but for some reason it didn’t happen. What other stuff do you want to see for VE??
N’zoth-like eyess but I doubt it’s gonna happen.
You never know. That would look sick. The VE always kind of remind me of Raven from Teen Titans and she has those glowy red eyes that open up on her forehead etc. I would 100% roll a VE if they had some really eldritch looking stuff like that. The Void stuff is what really sets them apart from other elves, not just in WoW but in general fantasy.
You do realize that this is a Void Elf NPC in-game?
Not even some big lore NPC.
I don’t see it as far-fetched to give them a hair color that is available to Void Elf NPCs.
It’s also been shown in other Blizz work, Void Elves with black hair.
