Whilst I agree it is unlikely to change anything I do think players have every right to speak out against things they dislike or don’t want in the game. I have often voiced against things I dislike in the game, some of which I never thought they’d back down on, and others where it’s made no difference.
The uptake is like to be quite big from returning players/new players and it immediately makes playing TBC with or without friends viable which is exactly what they are aiming for.
Not ideal - The boost is intended for new players to start with TBC directly - People who already have characters at 60 don’t need a boost at all.
No, they need to level them to 60 again in order to play TBC?
Most people will not run 2+ accounts.
And if you would want to run multiple accounts and pay between 50-100 bucks monthly for a video game, then be my guest. The choice is yours.
It is not a scam. If you buy the boost you know for 100% what you are getting.
Even though players have been vocal about this previously we still got the boost. This is like beating a dead horse at this point. I’m fine with 1 boost per account for each classic expansion, I think its a good idea. But I am strictly against further QOL features. After watching the Blizz presentation, they limited this boost a lot because they know we don’t want retail like features.
I also believe in Fresh releases after each expansion cycle that will not have any boosts. So stop make this such of a big deal when its not. The majority is fine with it.
Looking at what we know so far the boost is not specifically intended for new players. Looking at how it works. It is for all players.
Ofcourse they use a marketing term which will positivly effect (new) players.
I think the big aim for the boost is attracting new players.

Since new players might decide to roll on other servers or factions, this gives players like us who already have 60 chars a chance to get on the same server/faction. It’s a great solution to these kind of issues when you have returning friends.

Maybe not most people but many. There are already many people with multiple accounts and the one boost per account thing isn’t even out yet.
Is this a peasant argument that i am too rich to understand? xD
If the only thing i do is play wow then paying 50-100 bucks for it per month is nothing. That’s probably between 4 and 9 accounts?
You don’t even understand how it is a scam - It ruins the integrity of the whole game. You know how that is a scam for everyone who got invested in this game?

No why would they need to level again to 60 if the are already 60??

Boost is ok, but maybe offer it only for limited time, like for the first week of pre-patch so ppl can setup whatever they want and then close it. But if Blizz offers it forever then they need to step up their game with bots

Any argument for or against boosting is null and void. Cash shops and easy access, catering to players that probably don’t even like the game that much has damaged it to such a big extent, hence the reason for Classic in the first place. Remove server transfers as well and no further cash shop options. They make enough money on retail cash shops. Any form of race/faction/ boosting is antithetical to how original wow was created. If you want all of that, there is an existing wow that allows that.

because there will never be TBC on Classic servers?
Okay somehow it doesn’t matter to you what other players do and how they achieve their things? You know that you share the same virtual world with them?
Gold inflation and swarms of bots might not have that much of an impact on your little gaming session but that virtual world will parish because of such things…
We have so many problems in the real world like pollution/global warming for example. It does not affect me personally because only play wow in the basement so it doesn’t matter to me what happens outside of my small horizon? xD
Classic servers will progress to TBC servers.

200h
1g/h
100g/h
On what exactly are these numbers based?
200h is 8 days played. That’s more than I need to level a character just with no-guide questing. A bot simply grinding mobs is a lot more efficient than my usually clumsy leveling approach.
Lets take the third one: 100g/h would be akin to farm by real players doing ZF masspulls and the like…which bots are unable to do (That is why most instance bots are rogues pickpocketing).
So I ask again: What are these numbers based on?
And even disregarding the above: You assume that the bots are actually able farm for prolonged periods of time uninterrupted, which isn’t the case. Bots get banned, they have a limited lifespan. If the cost of that lifespan exceeds the net worth the bot generated during it, the model no longer works economically.

Bots get banned, they have a limited lifespan
And this boost will help them a lot to skip leveling part
Divide these numbers by 10 if you want and still this is mayor problem that people are ignoring

At the cost of 2-5 months worth of playing (plus the month they have to pay for anyway), which makes it economically unfeasible.
Why would I transform numbers when I don’t even have the information what their original form was based on? Please answer my question:

Boost will make situation with bots worse, much worse
What the hell are you talking about about economically unfeasible?
Bots will create much more gold then ever before any ban and it will be much more worth to bot in TBC
You honestly do not think tha bots will be worse problem then it is now?

Still waiting for an answer to my question:
Because that is the metric that matters to professional botters, aka. the people selling wow gold for a living.
No, I don’t think so, and I have provided proof as to why.

These numbers are estimated how much bot can earn per hour
Giving bot a 58 boost will increase his gold per hour a lot
You do not want to believe and that your choice but it will not change the fact that bots will abuse this boost
What numbers would you like to get presented - from boters themself?
Well there is always first time to met someone who do not think bots are problem and that blizzard is hunting them down
Your provided zero proof that bot will not be a problem and ignore every calculation how much bot can increase his gold per hour with 58 boost
