As stated above in my post. I’m also not a big fan of it but I try to see the good and the bad. Currently the bad weights a bit heavier unfortunately.

There is no proof. There are opinion’s You are clearly against a boost. Which is your right. And if you really stand by it, you will not use the boost.
But i will and this is my right to do so. It would be easier for yourself to accept the boost as a feature.

the problem is, alot of people screech the boost is the doom of TBC. and whenever questioned why its a immediately “UR A TROLL” response… because u have no reason to beleive so… 99% of the percieved Problems the boost “causes” is to the player directly boosting… not those around that player.
this is 2021, not 2007. please stop pretending its “new content”. Its this weird gatekeep players feel need to exist so they can Ensure players never catch up wit them.
botting problems is valid. but i’d argue “botting problems” are the reason blizzard need to step up their game.

Blizzard has had 17 years to step up their bot “fight”, why did private servers have no bots? Because the GM’s spawned gold, sold it on 3rd party websites and banned the people who bought it. They also actively had a reason to ban bots because they wanted a monopoly on the gold selling market. Keep in mind private servers have no sub fee.
Now it’s Blizzard side of things, bots pay a LOT of money for new accounts + subscription, they let them slip as they have a clear reason to do it. If they truly wanted to wipe all bots from the game they would’ve dealt with it 10 years ago
We all agree bots need to be taken down but what you are suggesting is silly and im being polite.
What you are saying can be translated to this:
People: Many car burglaries are happening, but the police cannot stop this. They are not putting enough manpower on this matter, we demand a solution.
Critzer: i have a bright idea. How about nobody can drive a car anymore so that car burglars cannot break into cars anymore

No matter your reasons it is antithetical to the whole reason of classic wow. If people really loved TBC so much, they will put in the effort to level a character. How much can you love something if you are not willing to put in the work. Let’s face it… people are lazy and want the easy way out.

Private servers also banned people they suspected of botting, with absolutely no proof. A friend of mine was farming elementals and because a GM farmed there he got banned as a botter.
You talk about strawman arguments, that’s one right there. the money Blizzard make from botters is miniscule compared to normal players.

Because in the private server WoW, if u want a cheat code WoW u can get one therefore botters Simply dont flock to stricter Private servers. its a very easy observation… that the simple number of botters targetting private servers is by a Mile SMALLER then in WoW.
but WoW Retail dont have any Gold Sellers? Lol… it is Dealt with, the problem currently in retail is we have people who multibox farm herbs etc etc to Gold Farm and monopolize the AH.
which is slightly different to botting.

Everytime blizzard create a Coding to Mass ban players using certain scripts. someone launchs a new undetected script for them, this Circulates repeatively.

Yes, there should be some gatekeeping from a retail mentality. The whole reason for classic was because of exactly this.

Retail still has gold selling, it’s just not spammed in channels and we’ve long moved on from the dead bodies spelling out sites in Org/SW. The token has reduced a lot of the gold selling but there is still a market. My understanding is they just compete by offering more gold for your money than you get for the token. I have no idea what the going rates are.
guess as a player whos never googled this stuff it just seems dead then xD, i remember the days it Litterally plagued the game everywhere. was inescapable.
