I’m actually enjoying the fact that I can raid log and still not fall behind the curve to the point where I have to quit the game.
I clear raids, do heroics, pvp and do professions and dailies. Level an alt or two, as well. All this without having to consider quitting my job and dump my girlfriend. And it’s going to get better as more content is released.
I can suggest maybe finding something else you can enjoy in life outside of WoW, if the game alone doesn’t provide you with enough enjoyment.
On live it felt harder due to lack of knowledge. Pservers buffed hp + dmg, not a lazy flat hp buff.
And yeah it was ICC but people clearly wanted it, its flooded every wotlk related content source for months.
Also, yeah. It gears you up quicker. Pushing people through content quicker ends their journey quicker. As a result, less dungeons needed in total, so less content for others.

And you can continue doing so, because Ulduar drops insanely upgrades gear. Once you get a few new pieces bosses will become easier. Not the Naxx faceroll level, but nothing like PTR, where people struggle in full phase 1 BiS sometimes.
WotLK si far from unsuccessful the problem is that most people raid log, because they cba to play through old world content without any group activities and scarsely meeting anyone. JJ might put forth an incentive to level alts, but it’s only a bandaid for the real issues.
Because you can’t go back in time and pretend everything is new and exciting and that there are lots of other social people who also figure out things.
Simple answer really.
That was basically what Brack was trying to tell people.
Then I would not have to pay sub for it. And would be more forgiving knowing that it ain’t easy to recreate the game in one’s basement without any code or documentation.
Sadly I’m paying subscription and yet the game is still in pretty sorry state where bugs can happen just because.
Yesterday during AN HC the second boss bugged out, died to the trash mobs before engaging it and game suddenly started believing the entire group I formed joined the instance in progress denying us a loot which was the freaking point of me even making that group (as a Non-JC Prot Paladin I need the Trinket from the second boss as my BiS). What a freaking fun.
I was expecting a very social world with social interaction on every single content. classic is partly about the social exp right? Turns out i was wrong and everyone is just raidlogging and not talking at all!
Naxx, Sarth3D and that other lizard isn’t going to hold peoples attention for long in the current year.
We have Guild wars, final fantasy, steam games, better console games, Modern Warfare was just released and then you have DF.
All of that has new content for people and most have BIS on two chars. A good portion of people play 1-2 max level chars and keep alts for boredom or CDs.
You’re having a laugh if you believe those players are going to stick around playing Naxx simulator 3.0 until Ulduar unless they want to run GDKPs.
