Why did you choose to play the race your main is?

Worgen cause who would of thought, having a pet dog brushes off and influences a choice.

It was dwarves for ages because of how masculine it felt.

But night elf have grown on me a lot because of the whole Na’vi feel from avatar thing they got going on, I’m not usually a fan of elves but night elves are becomibg a new favourite.

Call me crazy… But I chose Vulpera because I find them the most plain ā€˜ā€˜Normal’’ race of them all. No Hunch backs or special poses or features when they stand or anything. Not super bulky or anything. Just a upstanding little fox dude.

Forsaken?

Everything about them

The race theme, appearance, animation. This is why I play classic, because in retail those became actually worst.

Ork. Always liked the Orks in Warcraft. First toon was Ork Shaman. When I came back it just felt natural to go for the same. Choose Mag’Har due to the feeling of being honorable and…not green:p

my main’s an undead DK.

Death knight. Undead. Seems like a good fit. Not to mention, undead/forsaken are one of my favorite races in this game.

moo, just moo!

I wanted to play the best looking race in the game (at least the females are).

Because I like Dwarfs and I waited for well over decade to play Dark Iron.

Because draenei was the only option for shaman on alliance back in TBC. For many years all my chars were draenei (except my druid who is nelf), but the last years i’ve started playing some other races aswell.

Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme!!!

On topic:
A friend and I worked out a list each for all the classes/specs, evenly distributed across Alliance/Horde, and roughly even across races on each side. I was short a Gnome (hehehe) so as a joke put him in the Blood DK slot and named him Schitzngiglz (not a typo).

Mained Horde at first (pre-Legion to pre-BFA), found that tanking was my favourite role and when we found a great guild on Alliance side had to pick which of my alliance characters to level. Guess which tank was closest to max level at the time… :stuck_out_tongue:

Since then I server transferred with the guild, was forced to name change as the name was taken on Silvermoon, and I never looked back. Gnomes are now my favourite alliance race to play, I have three already

For me it’s quite simple. I’ve 2 reasons for my choice:

This camp can be made literally ANYWHERE in the outdoor world. Any spot on the map you can reach. How crazy is that?

And the bonus reason is how badass this looks:

That one, plus I also like how the race looks. I was a Zandalari troll before, but changed the moment they got released.

I would have stayed a Zandalari troll maybe, but they had to remove that mount. I was working on that, was at 1.5M when the news came and I just assumed we would be given the chance to get it through later expansions, which wasn’t the case, so I gave up.

When I created this char, Druids on Horde side could only be Tauren. Fortunately, Tauren are awesome! I always liked to build the Tauren warriors in WC3 who kept hitting my enemies with huge tree trunks

I love kultiran because they look close to the barbarian in diablo. It fits perfectly on my fury warrior!

The knockback is like a cherry on top.
