Why do all of you noobs play without enchants/sockets?

I have been farming Kings rest keys level 10-13 to get my bis ring.

The dps in these groups are around 20-30k while I have 45k on avarage, meaning most people suck.

I noticed that more that 75% of the players in the groups did not have enchant/sockets in their weapon and rings, even tho they are around 430-440 ilevel.

I can’t understand the mentality of people who play a character and dont enchant their gear, which gives around 5 % free dmg increase for both weapon and rings.

I question the noobs in my group and ask them if you dont even enchant your gear, I know that your damage rotation is not optimal either for sure, and it says so much about your mentality.

I heard different reasons for no enchants:

  • My rings are not Bis, so I dont enchant them
  • No gold
  • I forgot it

My answer to that is:

There are 3 different type of ring enchants:

+30 stats: 10 silver
+40 stats: 1-20 gold
+60 stats: 200-1000 gold
+40 gems: 1-5 gold

You cant afford +30 stats for 10 silvers?

You go to your main city and spend 20 silver and you can increase your damage for free, but people dont do it and then join a 10-13 key makeing the run painful.

My question is to everyone right now who have a 120 character who they join end content with and dont have enchants: WHY NOT?

You are trying to improve your gear by going raid and dungons while you did not click 2 buttons on AH that could increase your dmg right away, logic there?

Me myself, I even bought enchants for my green gear while leveling so I could always be the best I could be, I dont understand this scrub mentality that most people have these days.

It would be funny if Blizzard brings back Triple gem slot per piece, multiple usefull enchants and more socket thanks to professions…

Oh wait, they removed these as a purpose to avoid people not gemming/enchanting, since it was too ““hard””.

Yeah, I feel like we should be able to inspect before grouping. (And that’s why I avoid puging)

People are lazy or forget. I dont use food and a lot of the time dont have flasks which a lot of people would also consider nooby

I’d love it if sockets were actually brought back as part of gear. While at it, bring back reforging too.

Agree. Lazy and annoying when people dont use food, flask, enchants and gems in content that isnt complete faceroll.

ok but i still don’t see how a 440+ mage doing 45k is relevant to people doing 20-30k, the random nature of bfa means it wouldn’t even matter if they were enchanted or not.

Because I don’t enchant or socket gear until it starts getting closer to 430. Too much effort.

Kind Best Mage EU with 7 alts and bought 2v2 score.

After you lecturing how I should play this game, I shall give you the taste of your own medicine.
If you chose to group up with noobs then you should look at a mirror instead. Because if you want to gear up properly you join a community/guild, do it with them instead so you know if they are socketed/enchant/food etc.
